"Sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law but under Grace."
Doesn't mater how we look at it in our understanding, whether sin abolished, the Law, or both, we walk by faith:
Jesus destroyed the power of sin and nullified the old covenant:
The old covenant could only be nullified by the death of the one who made the covenant, Jesus did not die in vain: About divorce and remarriage: had the religious leaders known they would not have crucified Him. "A change of the Law,"
"A new commandment I give to you, that you Love one another; as I love you, that you also Love one another."
If we obey, following Jesus in His death: praying and forgiving our enemies, only possible by the Holy Spirit: with our first Love in God. Means we are obeying the 2 commandments that the whole law and prophets hang on, on the tree with Christ.
This clears up why Jesus gave us the New commandment: having done away with the old.
Thanks be to God we have something good to preach about, Jesus cleansed our sins in His blood, rose victorious, with the keys of death and hell, and all power in heaven and earth given to Him. "If we suffer with Him we shall rule with Him."
"Unless we forsake everyone and everything and our own live we cant be His disciple."
This is the Sabbath rest that we enter, as we obey the new commandment: as His disciple we enter the Resurrection.
The law abolished so that we don't glory in the flesh. "We had the sentence of death in ourselves so that we should not trust in ourselves but in God that raises the dead." Neither can those in the flesh enter into rest in God. "The rest of the dead are not raised until the 1,000 year reign is finished." "The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and hell gave up the dead that were in them, and everyone was judged according to what they had done."
Jesus abolished the Law of sin and death and gave us the New commandment and so much more:
In the communion of the Last super, left His will as our inheritance: His relationship in constant communion with the Father. We now have "Peace and good will towards all men." The proclamation at His birth.
He could not change the heart of those who desired to be in charge. "Love does not insist on its own way."
"I can do nothing of myself except what I see the Father doing."

Thanks for sharing. I do have a problem with what you have posted but rather type out a wall of scripture can we talk about what you have posted above?
Could I start by asking you what was the OLD Covenant to you? What made up the Old Covenant? and how is the Old Covenant different from the NEW Covenant in your view? Lets have a chat and share the scriptures what do you say?
Or we can talk about each section of your post above if you like? Let me know what you think?
May God bless you as you seek Him through His Word....
