I haven’t watched his show in years. I like him a lot, or I would not have watched his shows at all. I think I said “some” of it was fabricated. Yes, he could be very nice. I remember he went into a tizzy (real, I think) when a contestsnt said cold water boiled more quickly than hot water. He almost blew a gasket dealing with such a dumb girl.

Interesting tidbit about Gordon. His brother is a drug addict and he lost one of his chefs to cocaine addiction. Gordon brought culinary arts programs to some of the worst male and female prisons in the UK. The recidivism rate for those who enter into one of this programs is zero. If they go through the program in Prison and make it and get out, Gordon hires them. He pays for the entire programs entirely out of Pocket. Despite his potty mouth, Gordon has fruit that remains, including helping many of the very poverty stricken in the UK.
I know some people that say Gordon is a Born again Christian, and struggles with his language. We all have struggles in things though. I do not know he is a Christian or not, but Jesus said by their fruit you will know them. Gordon has fruit that remains.
