A memorial to AchildofGod (Frank)
A child of God,
On loan to us from Heaven.
He was a precious angel
That the Lord sent here
To earth, to teach us lessons.
His love for family and friends
No one could deny.
His love for God,
Radiated through his words.
It showed in the wisdom
To us, he did impart.
It showed, in his stories
About strangers who entered his life.
It showed, in his love for
His Lord, his family, friends and wife.
God saw that Frank was weary,
And that he needed eternal rest.
He knew that Frank had indeed
Fought many brave battles
And given his absolute best.
So God said, "well done, My child."
"Your reward is waiting, your crown is shiny."
"It's time to leave this earthly shell behind."
So God lifted Frank up,
From this mortal place.
And gave him a cloak of white,
With a big smile to put upon his face.
"You can rest easy now, Frank."
God said to him.
"No more illness can befall you".
"No more laboring to breathe."
"Your legs are strong, as is your heart."
"And your lungs are brand new."
Weep not for Frank, he is not dead.
He is quite alive, in God's kingdom.
Keep his memory in your heads,
Open your ears and listen.
Listen and hear him singing.
"Farewell my friends, 'til we shall meet again."

Woke up singing again........I tend to rewrite one or two of the lines though, just because I like them better that way......

Never molested, though in the wrong............."
Living in a fallen Creation has its pitfalls for sure, but we have the One who holds the keys to death and the grave, and the One who is able to defeat any enemy that attacks us............
