Jesus was the only one without sin among them and not even He cast a stone at her.

I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it.

This is so true and so crucial. Right now I'm trying to reconcile Jesus' bold behavior here with the older Levitical laws. It's clear to me He was not concerned about carrying out the law at all.

The law came by Moses and points to, establishes and hammers home our guilt and inability to meet God's standard in any shape or form....whereas Grace and truth came by Christ......exactly why he said...."Neither do I condemn you".......Before the cure came (Jesus) God had to determine and prove that all were sick and in need of the great healer and Physician Jesus...........

Can I cast a stone at someone for I have not sinned in the last 5 minutes,and hated sin,so during that time slot would I be qualified to cast a stone at someone.I will not hurt them too bad,and only wound them a little.Bust a knee,break a wrist,for I will be like the terminator in the second movie,they will live.

The Bible says that a person that hates sin,and does not want sin,by the Spirit can abstain from sin for they have crucified the flesh with the lusts and affections,and show the ways of the Spirit and not the flesh,and God will not tempt them above what they can handle,and will give them a way out of their temptation.

Can they cast a stone at someone if they are not sinning by the Spirit.

Of course not because all have sinned and came short of the glory of God,and he that is without sin covers their whole lifetime.

That is why the Bible says judge not lest you be judged,for this judgment is in a condemning manner,such as saying that no good sinner,and looking down on them,when we are sinners saved by grace,and all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,so if we judge in a condemning manner when we are a sinner saved by grace,then we will be judged and our sins will not be forgiven.

Jer 17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

What was Jesus writing on the ground.Was He writing their names in the earth,for they all departed from the Lord.

Thank you for bring the proper understanding to this verse, it is a life time of sin. That is why it is so important that Jesus said “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.” Since Jesus is the only one that fits this requirement. I like that it was mentioned that they started leaving starting with the older men, they knew they had many sins in their lives.

There is an old roman catholic joke where Jesus has to stop His mom, because she is coming with a huge stone over her head to throw at the women. They believe that she was born sinless as well and some believe that she was born supernaturally as well by Anna her mother and the Father. I do not know where they get this teaching from, I've never come across any Scripture that mentions Mary's mother's name and if I have I do not remember because Mary is not of theological significance to me.
 
To me it's a reflection of also how we view the attitudes and actions of unsaved people in the world. I see many Christians, including myself judge the people of the world. Of course we hate sin, I hate sin and I hate this world and it's ways but Jesus said He didn't come to condemn but to save. If our attitudes towards the unsaved are judgemental it'll be followed through by how we treat them. We can't forget where we came from either.

As Paul wrote..

It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

Yes, we're having a discussion about this in another thread about Leviticus and Jesus. Since Jesus Himself was the Lawgiver, you can be 100% certain that He would have upheld His own laws so long as the Old Covenant was in force. Can you imagine God violating His own laws, when He condemns men for doing so?

In a nutshell the woman taken in adultery was dismissed by Jesus because her accusers -- the scribes and Pharisees -- had failed to obey Leviticus 21:10 to the letter. Since Jesus knew every heart, He also knew that some of the accusers (if not all ) were guilty of the same sin, but failed to present themselves and their sinning women at the same time as this woman. Furthermore, they failed to present the man -- the sinning adulterer. But the Law required that BOTH be punished.

And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Yes, the man was not there! We, as humans, do not judge rightly. That is why we are only allowed to judge people by their fruit, NT commands us to, but only G-d judges the Saved vs the un-saved. I do not think Y-shua was confused. We do judge people but NEVER their Salvation. Even Paul or Peter not sure which ... think Paul, said do not even eat with such a man but cast him out.... I know for sure Paul said, give him over to satan, to have his way with him so G-d can have His way with his soul.
