My cousin had a fancy outdoor wedding with her love-of-her-life. (Extravagant at-home wedding, but she lived in a antebellum mansion on a mountain.) One of the groomsman plotted to have them all bring their hunting guns to make it a real shotgun wedding, but was talked out of it. (Cousin and about-to-be-hubby would have loved it. Parents and grandparents wouldn't.)
2 years later, same cousin married that groomsman who plotted the shotguns.
