So we stopped at an Amish place while on vacation and bought a pumpkin totally on the honor system as there was a bucket of money on a table under a tent with all the things they were selling but no one watching the money.....there was jelly, homemade bread, baked goods and these ginormous pumpkins with some smaller pumpkins. Well on the table it said large pumpkins $8.00. Well the pumpkin I wanted was a small one compared to the big ones but there was no price for it and no one to ask.
We decided $6.00 would be a fair price and left the money there under the plastic bucket as we didn't want to open the lid and put the money in with the other money too tempting to take instead of give...lol So left the money under to weight it down and brought the white pumpkin home with us.
It sat on our table outside in the courtyard and I just couldn't decide how to decorate it. Well Halloween came and went and today I had this bright idea to finally decorate my Amish pumpkin and this is the result. Pumpkin is still in great condition very solid and not mushy at all so it is the great Christmas pumpkin now and as the pumpkin says We wish you a Merry Christmas. But enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey first....lol Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
