Well? They CLAIM to observe the Sabbath strictly
The claim is quite often that they are the "true church" as well...and that they have "the Truth".

Not always, but quite often.

SDAs believe they are the "remnant church" and that non-observant Christians are going to join them in the tribulation in their observance, or they will be under the Mark of the Beast. We are viewed as sheep of "another fold" (John 10:16).

Too bad that verse is talking about Gentiles :)

Who is it that practices Righteousness?

Romans 9:30-32
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Romans 10:3-4

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
1. your translation is broken there;

Romans 10:3, "For not knowing the righteousness of Yah, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of Yah."

This is a much misunderstood passage, for it would be sticking up forthe pharisees who made their own law if misunderstood, it was exposing those who would not submit to Yah but again made theor own “way”

Mat 15:2-3, "Why do Your disciples transgress the traditions of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat. But He answered, and said to them; And why do you transgress the Laws of Yahweh by your traditions?"

Romans 10:3-4, "For not knowing the righteousness of Yah, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of Yah. For Messiah is the goal of the ‘Torah unto righteousness’ to everyone who believes."

For not knowing the righteousness of Yah, and seeking to establish their own righteousness;

Mat 15:2-3, "Why do Your disciples transgress the traditions of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat. But He answered, and said to them; And why do you transgress the Laws of Yahweh by your traditions?"

We can not earn Salvation by only obedience to the Law of the Creator, as James said and as Yahshua Himself said it takes faith and works. Romans 10:4 is a verses mistranslated in the majority of Bibles thus blurring the lines of truth. Christ is not “the end of the Law” but rather Yahshua showed the intent, ultimate result or goal (telos) of keeping the Law of YHWH.

The word translated “end” is word#G5056, τέλος, telos, tel'-os
From a primary word τέλλω tellō (to set out for a definite point or goal); properly the point aimed at as a limit, that is, (by implication) the conclusion of an act or state (termination [literally, figuratively or indefinitely], result [immediate, ultimate or prophetic], purpose); specifically an impost or levy (as paid):—+ continual, custom, end (-ing), finally, uttermost. Compare G5411.

Lets look at places this word is used in the Konie Greek originals to get an idea of it meaning and context;

Romans 10:4, "For Christ is the end (telos) of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."

Romans 10:4, "For Yahshua is the ultimate result (telos) of the Law unto righteousness for everyone who believes."

1Peter 1:9, "Receiving the end (telos) of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

1 Peter 1:9, "Receiving the ultimate result (telos) of your faith – the salvation of your souls."

If the its the end of the Law aka Law is done away or at an end in Romans 10:4 then faith must also be done away or at an end in 1 Peter 1:9. Unless of course “telos” means the goal.

Greek Dictionary (Lexicon-Concordance) - #G5056 telos {tel'-os} from a primary tello (to set out for a definite point or goal)

HELPS Word-studies – 5056 télos (a neuter noun) – properly, consummation (the end-goal, purpose), such as closure with all its results.

James 5:11, “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end (telos) of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”

James 5:11, “See, we call those blessed who endure. You have heard of the endurance of Iyoḇ and saw the purpose (telos) of יהוה, that He is very sympathetic and compassionate.”

2. The way you make it there must be a contradiction and Paul must then know better than Yahshua/Jesus and John;

1 John 3:7, "Little children, let no man deceive you; he who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous."

why does it says "let no man deceive you"

1 John 5:17, "All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death."

Revelation 22:11, “He who does wrong, let him do more wrong; he who is filthy, let him be more filthy; he who is righteous, let him be more righteous; he who is set-apart, let him be more set-apart.”

John 5:28-30, “Do not be astonished at this-for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice, and will come forth. Those who have practiced righteousness will be resurrected in order to live; and those who have practiced wickedness will be resurrected in order to be damned."

Paul even said;

Romans 6:16, "”Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves servants for obedience, you are servants of the one whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?”

This is why Peter said "Paul's writings are hard to understand and can be twisted in Lawlessness" and I only see you quote Paul, to me it is no surprise you believe what you do.

The Apostles changed the primary day of worship to Sunday, and accumulated evidence shows this to be the case, is that a tradition of men"?
Where is this written In Scripture? If it were so it would be clearly written, it is not.

this however is;

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against YHWH, and will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the saints of YHWH, and think to change times and Laws…"

Daniel 7 is about the visions of the four beasts. v. 25 is spoken by the forth beast. not anyone. the forth beast.

another try, another fail.

yeah and the 4th beast does this act;

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against YHWH, and will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the saints of YHWH, and think to change times and Laws…"

Daniel 7:7-8, “After this I looked in the night visions and saw a fourth beast, fearsome and burly, exceedingly strong. And it had great iron teeth. It devoured and crushed, and trampled down the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. I was thinking about the horns, then saw another horn, a little one, coming up among them, and three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots before it. And see, eyes like the eyes of a man were in this horn, and a mouth speaking great words."

Daniel 7:19-21, “Then I desired for certainty concerning the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, very fearsome, with its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, which devoured, crushed, and trampled down the rest with its feet, and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and of the other horn that came up, before which three fell – this horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke great words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows. I was looking, and this horn was fighting against the set-apart ones, and was prevailing against them,"

How do we know this is end times?

Daniel 7:21-22, “I was looking, and this horn was fighting against the set-apart ones, and was prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came, and right-ruling was given to the set-apart ones of the Most High, and the time came and the set-apart ones took possession of the reign."

It's a funny thjing for you to say that about Hebrew words because awmein (amen), halleluYah (hallelujah), evel (evil), and a number of other words commonly used in english translations are not just from Hebrew but are literally Hebrew, yet I don't see you freaking out when someone says "amen" seems only the Hebrew words you are comfortable with are acceptable. You issuse is your peoplem not mine, you clearly have an irrational hate or enmity or something.

and Just because you dont know what the Konie Greek word telos means does not make me wrong in this matter.

Jews are only 1 of 12 tribes, also it is of no consequence, only those in Messiah are YHWH's and nobody can "take their promises" that is foolish. People can be grafeted in and people can be cut out.

You are irrational.

Why were 10 Commandments written separately in stone by GOD?
And not only that but...
GOD personally SPOKE them to the people ...and ADDED NO more ! Ex 20v18,19; Deut 5v22.
consequently these 10 Commandments stand on their own as God's law given by Him personally.

As then - so there are people today who refuse to hear God and will only listen to Moses who preached the WORKS of the law that Yashua/Jesus dealt with on the cross Eph 2v15; Col 2v14; it is they who are in error while accusing us who understand and hear GOD ! Bless you !

well, since the same guy wrote both the letters, 1st John, Revelations , I would assume he meant the same commands he laid out in the 3rd chapter of His first letter.
Do you mean the ones talking about breaking God's Law (10 commandments)

1 JOHN 3 [3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. [4] Whosoever commits SIN transgresses also the law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW sin is the transgression of the law. [5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. [6] WHOSOEVER ABIDES IN HIM SINS NOT: WHOSOEVER SINS HAS NEITHER SEEN HIM OR KNOWS HIM. [7] LITTLE CHILDREN LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU: HE THAT DOES RIGHTEOUSNESS IS RIGHTEOUS, EVEN AS HE IS RIGHTEOUS. [8] HE THAT COMMITS SIN IS OF THE DEVIL; THE DEVIL SINS FROM THE BEGINNING. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
[9], WHOSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD DOES NOT COMMIT SIN; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. [10] IN THIS THE CHILDREN OF GOD ARE MANIFEST, AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL: WHOSOEVER DOES NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, neither he that loves not his brother.

Romans 10:4, "For Yahshua is the ultimate result (telos) of the Law unto righteousness for everyone who believes."
Hi Hizikyah,

Who is Yahshua? Paul clearly uses Christ. Yahshua is not Jesus' name nor title Messiah.

The NIV brings out the meaning of the text.

"Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes."

In other words ones right standing is not by the law, but by faith.

Acts 13:39 Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the Law of Moses.

Anyhow why are you adding to scripture by attributing names to Jesus which are not correct?

[9], WHOSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD DOES NOT COMMIT SIN; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. [10] IN THIS THE CHILDREN OF GOD ARE MANIFEST, AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL: WHOSOEVER DOES NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, neither he that loves not his brother.
if you keep reading in the 3rd chapter of John's first letter, he says in v. 23 that the commands of God are- believe in the Son and love one another. not the Law of Moses.

1. your translation is broken there;

Romans 10:3, "For not knowing the righteousness of Yah, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of Yah."

This is a much misunderstood passage, for it would be sticking up forthe pharisees who made their own law if misunderstood, it was exposing those who would not submit to Yah but again made theor own “way”
Its pretty easy.

Galatians 3:10-11
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Everyone who works at the law in their own understanding and strength DOES NOT submit themselves to the Righteousness of God.

If they are working at the law then they are under the curse. If they are under the curse then they cannot be Righteous.

Do you just pretend not to understand these scriptures or do you really not get the simplicity of this?

Hi gb9, did you not pick up my point? The CONTEXT of v 23 is that SIN is breaking God's Commandments v4. His followers do not practice SIN. Those that do practice SIN are not GOd's followers. Why are we talking about God's Law (10 commandments)? You cannot separate LOVE from GOD's LAW (10 commandments. v.15 Shows what we are talking about with LOVE and HATE and uses MURDER as an example of hate (thou shalt not kill; 6th commandment Exodus 20:13)

It's all about the CONTEXT not PLUCKING up scripture out of nowhere let's compare scripture with scripture............

You cannot separate God’s Law of love from the 10 commandments because they are connected to each other. There is no need for confusion here. God’s Word makes it very clear.

Let's have a look................................................

What does Jesus say when he talk about the commandments. Jesus is quoting from Old testament scriptures of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18.................

Matthew 22
36, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Let's get clearer......................................................

Matthew 19
16, And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
1 7, And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.
18, He saith unto him, WHICH? JESUS SAID, THOU SHALT NOT MURDER, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER AND THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF
20, The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. <Jesus showed him that he may have fulfilled His duty of love to his neighbor but not to God breaking commandment 1 and 2 loving riches more than God>

Well Jesus makes it very clear that what he is talking about it is the 10 commandments of God's Law.

What about James................................................................

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE SHALL BE GUILTY OF ALL.
11, FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY SAID ALSO DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY AND YOU KILL, YOU HAVE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW.
12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Well James makes it very clear what he is talking about when he talks about the Royal Law of love. He is talking about the 10 commandments. So Jesus and James both agree that they are talking about God's 10 commandments which also include the 4th commandment which is one of the ten.

What about Paul? He wrote a lot of books in God's Word...........................

Romans 13
8, Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbour: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Paul makes it very clear what he is talking about as well when he is talking about God's Law. It seems like Jesus, James and Paul all agree together what it is they are referring to when talking about God's Law. They are all referring to God's 10 commandments which includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:1-17)

So now that God's Word shows us what it is referring to. No need to guess, what are talking about, God’s Law of Love is God's 10 commandments. It is only through Faith that works by love that anyone can walk in the Spirit which produces the fruit of obedience because love is the fulfilling of God’s Law in those that walk by faith and not by sight.

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). God's Word says if we break one of the ten we stand guilty before God of breaking all the commandments of God (James 2:8-12). God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and if we break it like any of the other commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN (Exodus 20:1-17).

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:26-27; 31)

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

sorry was trying to add the post in discussion... something went wrong in the last post

Earlier post on CONTEXT of v.23

[14] We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
[15] Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that NO MURDERER hath eternal life abiding in him.

Including Romans 14.5-6; Colossians 2.16-17 ??
What I think is amusing is that people hold onto a few scriptures because they have learned them from Sunday school but ignore the rest of God's Word which gives the interpretation of the scriptures. Context is important as well as comparing scripture with scripture on a topic but most importantly asking Jesus for His Spirit to teach you His Word for yourself.

For example no one has answered the scriptures in the OP which refute the interpretation of those that hold onto a few scriptures in order to disobey God's 4th commandment in order to follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. Not so you say? Answer the OP with God's Word.

Fact is there is not not one scripture in ALL of God's Word that says the 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED or any one of the ten. The same as there is no command to keep Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
