The Lord teaches us:

Matthew 22

29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine
I dont see your point loveme.

AMEN....and the more time Paul spent with JESUS the more vile and wicked he seen himself in the flesh even though he was a saved child of GOD....HE wrote toward the end of his life-->I am the number one chief sinner among men.....after going from the least of the apostles to the least of the saints......and in the PRESENT TENSE.....
So if Paul sins, we can too?
Your misinterpretation of Paul's remarks serves only those who hate God. (Matt 6:24)
There is a way out of rebellion against God.
It starts with a true "turn from" sin.
Then baptism in Jesus' name for the remission of past sins.
At baptism we are also taking part in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrected with Him to walk in newness of life.
With the old man killed, and having been reborn of Godly seed, we can spend the rest of our lives rejoicing in the Spirit, as we walk in the Spirit instead of in the flesh.

If the Messiah tells us to believe in Him to receive eternal life, then we need to believe in Him (John 3:15,16,18; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26). Now as children of God, the Messiah tells us to keep His Commandments and love our enemies. God does empower us and works in believers to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose, but we must not confuse God's will for us to become saved with God's will for us AFTER we have been saved. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. Romans 5:1 - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Yet you deny God by breaking the commandments of God to follow the traditions and teachings of man that break the commandments of God? Jesus says If we knowingly follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9). Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of man that breaks the commandments of God. Faith that works by love is indeed the victory that overcomes the world (Eph 2:8; Romans 13:8-10). However if our faith does not have the fruit of obedience we are still in our sins.

Who should we believe God or man? Who should we follow the word of God or the traditions of men?

Faith is a free gift from God...We have all been given an amount...Ephesians 2:9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Do you have any confirming verses?
It wasn't a question I had ever remarked on before, so may make a good new thread.
I will, however, stand by my POV.
We'll probably conclude that both are gifts from God.

So PJW, you would then have no need for working out your salvation?

And you have no need to reckon the old man dead daily?

Or to have your walk (feet) cleansed daily?

so, you think that telling lies glorifies God?? because every time you say that you do not sin, you tell a lie.
I would be lying, if I still walked in darkness/sin.
It is those who walk in darkness that cannot say they have no sin.
But, thanks be to God, I am walking in the light-God, and have had ALL my past sins washed away by the blood of Christ.
My flesh has been crucified with Christ and I am now reborn of God.
God doesn't need to lie.

Because of your statement of being judged while under grace. We are chastised while here, but rewarded in heaven.

Is my understanding of the scriptures. And it wasn't my intention to offend you.
I’m not offended.. I wanted to know why you spoke that in regard to my post..

It is your belief that you will receive rewards in heaven for any good deeds you do?.. like you are secured a place regardless but extra rewards for your good deeds?

=========================================

PJW,
can you really say with a 'clear-conscience', that this was said in
Christ's Grace and Love? we find it an 'unkind question'...
we all fall short of the Glory of God' sometime or another...
Who is "we"?
Are you the "we" that walks in darkness and can't say you have no sin?
Or are you the "we" that walks in light and has had ALL their past sins washed away by the blood of Christ?

Must be the "darkness" crowd, as you admit to falling.
It is written..."Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:" (2 Peter 1:10)
I exhort you to examine what exactly is your calling.

Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of man that breaks the commandments of God.
I have never seen a verse that prohibits/commands against Sunday worship. Please provide them so we can verify what you say. There are those that tell us to rejoice and give praise continually, which would by necessity include Sundays. You need not show us those :)

It's always fitting to worship God regardless of the day of the week.

The devils believe, and tremble.
Sin manifests unbelief.
Could we not say the reverse though?

Unbeleif manifests sin.

Romans 14:23
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.

I know Paul is talking about food sacrificed to idols.
The main point is about the weaker brother.

But I think we need to be careful as to identify what sin is outside of the norm and fully known.

A simple example is alcohol.

Some consider it a sin to drink alcohol others do not.

Now If a beliver doesn’t drink because they consider it a sin but knows of another beleiver who likes a glass of wine then that person is committing a sin.

I was once told after a serious knee ligament injury that halted my professional football career that God did this to me because I played football on a Sunday morning.

Now I actually went to the evening service out the person who told me the above I never ever saw at an evening service.

So playing football on a Sunday morning was a sin for which God punished me for.

So we need to careful.

If one identifies something like have a alcoholic beverage as sinful and tells someone that having an alcoholic beverage is a sin.
Firstly we condemn then as sinners and judge them accordingly. And as you say they were never saved to begin with, which is effectively calling them the children of the devil.

Secondly That is taking the place of Jesus who makes that ultimate call based on what sin is, whether it be sins of commission and sins of omission, the sins of omission used to separate the sheeps and the goats.

You may not walk in darkness but you still occasionally stumble as do all Christians.

James 2

8If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 9But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. 10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. 13For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Hi Magenta, I just did a search of churches in Houston, Texas and came up with nothing under that name, "The Church by Jesus Christ" but thanks for your info.
I found this one. It’s a Facebook link.

The second link I posted which PJW said he would not open after opening my first one (which was incorrect)
PJW told to me stop searching as there was not link on the web to his church.

So not sure if it his church but he hasn’t refuted it.

After this post I'm going to try not to address this person. For the past couple weeks we have let this person and his heresy, and our responses to his heresy, dominate the thread. There is of course a place for correcting heretical doctrines, especially for the casual reader and baby Christian. But look at what his doctrine has had us focus on, SIN, rather than our beautiful, incredible Savior. For instance I've addressed Peter's sin of hypocrisy, instead of Peter saying things like "Lord, You know I love You".
Many of us have very successfully, using Scripture corrected his sinless perfection heresy that is so destructive, especially to a baby Christian that may stumble, [James tells us we ALL stumble in MANY ways] and read his cruel doctrine, and become incredibly distressed if they believe him.
So I think his post here clarifies perfectly his thought process of capitalizing "I AM" intentionally or not, fits his sinless perfection doctrine as he believes he is the same as our Lord.
Of course my brothers and sisters in Christ should do as they are led, but if you don't feed the beast, he will starve for lack of intention, and we can move on to glorify God, instead of talking about sin so much.
Be Blessed!
There is no sin "in Christ".
BTW, it is written..."He that sayeth that he abideth in Him aught himself also so to walk, even as He walked." (1 John 2:6)
This is also written..."For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren," (Heb 2:11)

To walk as Jesus walked is a testimony of the grace of God on earth now.

he's defending honesty & humility before God, not sin.

But not obedience to God?

on the other hand when you say "
unbelief is of no consequence" and "unbelief doesn't matter" -- are you defending something?
They are of no use in a doctrine where sin is tolerated and abetted.
