Obedience to God is a product of a bedrock solid foundation.

Someone earlier to day mentioned "context", and it made me think of this verse, widely used by defenders of sin to prove nobody is perfect.
The "perfect" part still missing is written of in Phi 3:21..."Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."
He still waited for his new glorified body.
Yep. Paul had to be dead to get the new body.
I twisted nothing.
His POV was wrong.
Jesus, a man, did not commit sin.
Why repent?
According to your doctrine, it produces no change in the repentant?
The liars already have salvation and perfection awaits till later?
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
Turn from sin...forever, or be judged unworthy, unfaithful, unsalvageable.
You forgot the ..."go, and sin no more". (John 8:11)I was thinking this morning about the woman who was caught in adultery. Jesus said to those who were her accusers, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
I guess PJW would of stepped up to the plate, huh?
That was my reply to someone "throwing stones" at me.No, he would have just changed it like he did here to--->those who no longer sin cast the first stone....
What is the definition of repentance to you?Becoming righteous is being without sin. The one and only way we can become righteous is by being cleansed of our sins through the blood of Jesus. The verb used in the original Greek means that we must continuously be cleansed daily by repenting. This is not a one and done but a daily process of repenting.
I've seen people abuse and misuse the words of Jesus "go and sin no more" in John 8:11 to teach sinless perfection. Obviously, Jesus was telling her to go and leave her life of sin—she had been practicing adultery. I don't believe that sinless perfection is being taught here. Jesus cannot compromise his perfect, holy standard, *so of course He is not going to say, "go and just sin a little bit."You forgot the ..."go, and sin no more". (John 8:11)
You seem not to believe in rebirth.Yes and no. We are cleansed when we repent according to our heart. So each time we repent we are made righteous. But we are a weak people and fall in to sin again. So we must repent daily. The stronger we grow our spirit in Jesus the less we sin or in actuality the more we become aware of other areas in which we sin.
That was my reply to someone "throwing stones" at me.
Of course, it was an unbeliever, so probably went over his head.
Firstly I commend you in that you say “If I can do it, anybody can do it”Fool me once, shame on you: fool me twice...shame on me.The second link was to Facebook with the title of the church you say you go to.
If you opened the first one why are you reluctant to open the second one?
You seemed happy to jump on the first link and reject it becuase they misinterpreted 1 John 1:8.
Why Not look at the second link I posted?
The church is Christ's body. "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones." (Eph 5:30)You have said that you and every member in the church you attend do not sin.
You are all sinless and therfore convey you are perfect, as perfect as Jesus is.
I would be jumping to conclusions if I offered a reason. Finally you have said that you were banned from another Christian forum.
Would you care to expand why?
Fool me once, shame on you: fool me twice...shame on me.
How can I trust the links posted by someone who refuses to abide by God?
The church is Christ's body. "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones." (Eph 5:30)
How can there be sin in here?
I would be jumping to conclusions if I offered a reason.
I can only guess it was because I preach righteousness.
Men must choose they will serve, either God or sin.In and out of light. What happens to the Light within? And if it goes out, who lights it again? We have an angel with a cigarette lighter going around lighting up our candles all the time?
Fool me once, shame on you: fool me twice...shame on me.

There is no grey area.
Jesus was the first. To live without sin or obedient.
Jesus was both and only him.
You can't do both.To be honest your post above is no more an abomination to those who walk in obedience of faith and yet acknowlede before God they get it wrong.
Pick a team, and stick with it.
Do I not provide the relief for being pieces of "crap"You claim to be sinless and those who are not are now an abomination, by inference.
I know (via pm) and have seen it but you have made people feel worthless and a piece of crap.
Something you would wipe of your shoes as you walk on by.
Repentance, and baptism in Jesus' name create a non-sinner who is fit for the habitation for the Holy Ghost.
If you still commit sin, your perspective of love, compassion, and piety are more than a little suspect. What you have accused others of you fall foul yourself.
No love or compassion, just piety and condemnation.
I can't comment on conjecture.Maybe that’s why you were banned on a Christian forum you were on a few years ago.
I will say..."You shouldn't".When you stand before Jesus and he asks
”Why should I let you in”
What will be your response?
You haven't been following along. No doubt you would claim the same thing of Paul.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
The reborn don't continue to disobey God.I would never dare to think that I only needed to be cleansed one time through the blood of Jesus. We continue to sin daily. Sin must be cleansed on a daily basis. You like to use the word imputed and you are right in doing so but it means that it is a continuous process and again not a one and done deal. Don't ever fall into the trap and think that You only need to ask one time and are sanctified forever. We bring more dirt into our lives everyday and need to be cleansed every day.
Matthew 18:21-22New International Version (NIV) 21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
We must continue to seek forgiveness because we continue to sin.
You haven't been following along.
Your verse was correct, till Jesus overcame sin...in the flesh.
He never fell short of the glory of God, and those baptized into Christ don't either.
There is no sin in Christ.
Are you in Christ?
Only those that love God above all else.Only some?
oh yes only those who go to your church.
I'ld say..."Come on over".If I asked you if I could come to your church what would you say?
So what did you use the lighters for?Wut? I've had several cigarette lighters over the years, and never smoked cigarettes. No, I smoke a pipe. But I wouldn't dream of lighting my pipe with a cigarette lighter. No self respecting pipe smoker would.![]()
