"Any member can reply to any post as that is the nature of this site. That's just the way it is."

If this is a true statement from you and, "That's just the way it is." Then why have Administrator's, why have Moderator's and why have a, "Report Post Icon", I thought this was a respectable International Christian Website with rules and regulations. But if I believe I am being harassed by an unwanted abusive poster you say, "Thats just the way its is." and there's nothing I ca do about it? I really hope that what you say is not true.

Christ’s is my example..
Mine too, that's why I don't commit sin.

...and let Him judge us rather than judge ourselves.
Shouldn't that judgement be the same...in the folks who walk in the Spirit instead of in the flesh?

... you are alienating people with your ways which is sad because you a waging war against people rather than encourage and provoking them.
Is that what you think Jesus did when He called the Pharisees "children of the devil"? Liars? Thieves?
My war is not with people, but with the spirit the unrighteous have given themselves over to.

Stand side by side holding hands with others and be Christ like indeed by GOD’s Power.. but GOD’s Love is our strength..
"Others"?
You must mean all the others here who have actually "turned from sin".
Would I be demonstrating love by allowing them to think they are safe from the final judgement?

Why do you assume others sin? They are under Grace at Liberty to walk as He walked and love and forgive as they are loved and forgiven...
When they defend sin, and all the false doctrines that tolerate or advocate it, they accuse themselves.
Sinners don't "walk as He walked", do they?

Maybe all here strive against sin.. but without love and patience we can not strive against sin...
I have thrown them a life-ring.
My testimony can cause them to believe they too can "walk as He walked".
If I can do it, anybody can.

Christ being the Ultimate exception....Do any of the New Testament writers state they are without sin? Or do they all encourage us not to sin?

Please share.. for I read of Love and encouragement... teaching us what sin is..
Matthew wrote of it..."Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matt 5:48)
If you need further testimony, would it be by chance a reason for you to accuse them of focusing on themselves instead of on God?
Peter wrote..."Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;" (1 Peter 4:1)

John wrote..."Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." (1 John 3:9)

Paul wrote..." Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)

As you are aware of their "encouragement", why not just do it, "hand in hand", with them too.
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holyin all manner of conversation;

I can understand frustration TruthTalk, but am not sure you have that right to tell another not to post a reply to yours.

Isn't it the purpose of this thread to discuss with any member?

Is there a rule that says we are allowed to do this?
His post was abusive and rude.

It is all about Heavenly Father and our Lord and Saviour.. I’m not against pjw but many are being worn down by him and yet I’m sure if he takes a moment to realise of all the Love and Patience he is afforded then he can share that and encourage us all... rather than be at the finish line telling everyone else where they are..
I pray that all who are being "worn down" will surrender themselves to God, instead of defending their "right" to commit sin.

is it not that we all want to be One with Christ and come together in unity which is Love and Truth..
I wish that was true,

Through GOD we can be bold yet humble at the same time...
There is a season for everything.

Hebrews 3
12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 17But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Many times over I say that is belief...
it is a heart of unbelief that departs from the living GOD...
it is sin that hardens...
so here is something for us to believe:
Matthew 5
27
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thatthy whole body should be cast into hell. 30And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
It is through Believing the Lord that GOD strengthens us to strive against sin each and every day...
Be a doer of the Royal Law... and be judged by the law of liberty..
Christ is the source of eternal Salvation to those that obey Him..
None of us know what the day will bring but know through Faith in Christ our Lord goodness will prevail
AMEN.
It is through Believing the Lord that GOD strengthens me to strive against sin each and every day.

((not that you changing the words actually made your point any easier))
You just accused Jesus of sin.

John says:

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

why?
who is John, and who is he writing to, and when?

Is this the "we" who walks in the light, or is this the "we" who walks in darkness?
John is writing of two different way to walk.
If you are walking in darkness, you can't say you have fellowship with God or that you have no sin.
But if you are walking in the light, ALL your past sins have been washed away by the blood of Christ.
Of course you must remain in the light to remain "cleansed".

Do you consider that a "work"?
Or necessary for salvation?

yes, have a look. not once in his speech did he mention himself.

he spoke of the coming of "
The Righteous One" - singular. ((Acts 7:52))

our lives are righteous - just as Stephens - not because of us, because The Righteous One is in our lives. i do not live without sin - Christ, without sin, lives in me. this is by grace - which Stephen was full of ((Acts 6:8)) - and power, not Stephen's power, but God's power, which is perfected in our weakness. it is His pleasure that we are weak: He has constrained all under sin ((Romans 11:32)) in order to show mercy on all.

think that's an '
excuse' to run after sin? then you still don't understand me. :(
There is no sin in Christ.
If we are in Him, we must be without sin.
To imagine that we are "in Him", but still committing sin, is deception.

i study swordsmanship.
it's stupid to attack your opponent's weapon. instead, strike him directly, and in such a way that his attacks are voided or parried, because it is also stupid to forget the sharpness of his point, which can cut you even after he has been run through.
the fact of striving reveals a necessity to do so!
I agree.
It is foolishness to attack the word of God.

wasn't the accusation that preaching grace = preaching licentiousness dealt with > 40,000 posts ago in this thread?

I have no idea.

Paul dealt with it thousands of years ago - Romans 3:8, 6:1 etc. it's a well supported argument, in fact, that if you aren't accused of a doctrine that makes excuses to keep committing sin, you aren't presenting the gospel correctly!
That is illogical.
You are saying, that one must present an argument that excuses sin in order to to preach the gospel.
Did I get that right?

so thank you! this is good evidence that the gospel is being preached in this thread! hallelujah! those who murdered Stephen falsely said he was preaching against the law! ((Acts 6:13))
Is that some kind of derail?

2 Corinthians 13

2 Corinthians 13King James Version (KJV)

13 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
2 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:
3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.
4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.
8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.
10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
12 Greet one another with an holy kiss.
13 All the saints salute you.
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

I just read this after reading Seohce’s post..

Is it really written to be perfect? And those that have sinned had better watch out.. yet look at the Love reeling off .. wishing for their perfection.

I love verse 14... Grace of Christ and the Love of GOD and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all... may it be so.
Personally, I like verse 11 too.
"Be perfect...", just like Jesus said in Matt 5:48.

I was being tormented by thoughts from the enemy. Just newly born again and was listening to a message I think. Must of heard something wrong or twisted by the enemy in my mind, if the word was right. Was back in 1972...

But, I was hearing...you aren't worthy, will never be worthy...

His exact words to me. "You aren't, but I have made you worthy". This is the saber sword of His mouth that cuts off the head, or the power, of the lying spirits.
AMEN.
Thanks for the relative testimony.

I wish that was true,

There is a season for everything.
Name the people on this thread who defend their right to comitt sin.
People who have said “I can sin if I want and be forgiven”

People who fall foul of what Paul addressed in Romans 6.

From my perspective . We most certainly are saved by works . They are simply not of our own-selves . unless someone boast according to false pride. Faith our new, is the gift of God.It does not come without the work of God.

It’s his faith that works in us just as it did in Abraham and Rehab two examples as to how we can have a imputed righteousness that does work in us to both will and do His good pleasure. Making the faith of God as the work of God perfect..complete.. It would seem that many do not want to attribute the works of our faithful Creator to the Creator but rather in respect the creature. (self righteousness)

So it’s not do we need works .But who performs the whole work?. Do we work to gain it or does it work in us?
It boils down to work out that which is freely given, the faith of, Christ , that works in us . Or do we according to our flesh work for it in order to receive the Spirit of Christ, as the faith that comes from hearing God?
Perfect description of the difference between OT and NT.
They tried to be righteous by their own works.
We can, by Christ in us, actually do the works necessary for righteousness and for salvation.

I would think no man could serve two masters? Self-serving or serve Christ? Work for to gain, as a dead work, or work out a living faith as he who is of one mind and always does whatsoever His soul pleases?
I would posit that those who serve sin are not serving God.

I have thrown them a life-ring.
My testimony can cause them to believe they too can "walk as He walked".
If I can do it, anybody can.
Firstly I commend you in that you say “If I can do it, anybody can do it”

We can do all things in Christ.

My contention is and I have said it before to you is that you come across and judgemental towards those who acknowledge that they do sin, and ignore that they don’t want to sin and if they do they come before God and ask for help.

You do not offer a life-ring but a millstone.

You cause others to stumble in their faith and doubt they beleive because they are honest and because they acknowledge sin in their lives you call them servants of sin and therefore not saved.

You have said when you were saved from that point you have not comitted one single sin.

I asked you if everyone in the chruch you went felt the same and you said yes.

I further asked you if you would tell us what church you went to and if it had a website would you post a link. I still can’t see and answer to that. If I have missed it please repost it.

There is only one person who walked this earth and was sinless and I am sorry to burst your bubble BUT it is not you or the fellow members who claim the same in the church you go to.

IT WAS JESUS.

Yes you will come back at me and others who refute your position with scripture to back up your position with scripture and then boast about how great you are and condemn others as servants of sin and children of the devil.

Can you not see there is no love in what you say?

Anyway I await your barrage back at me and condemnig me.

But just so you know I will do everything I can to come against your condemnation that you heap on others and will love and protect them just like Jesus did and still does.

You will see that speck of dust in your neighbours eye a lot better if you take the telephone pole out of your own eye first.
