Thanks for the tip. Will try it tomorrow on the computer. Am on the iPad right now. It has its own quirks.

If obedience to God is a counterfeit gospel, I am inspired to keep fighting the "real" one.
Please don't make the mod's look for anything rude or demeaning, as it would be a waste of their time.
I adjure you in the name of Jesus Christ to love God above anything else.
I do find this line dc is taking is ironic.
He is the one who takes offence, like EG, and says how insulting etc. others are
and how this or that is saying Christ is lying.
I encountered from this group was this continual abuse, as if they could actually
describe the offence, but unfortunately not normally.
But lets break it down simply. Here we are believers, sinning everyday, which we
cannot stop doing, yet Christ loves and accepts us.
To me this is simply sinners rebelling and saying God does not care about purity,
holiness and walking in the Spirit. Just read the lists of those doomed to hell,
and you understand they are the sinners. and the repentant faithful, followers of
Christ going to heaven.
I simply cannot understand and comprehend how anyone can come to these conclusions,
because you have to ignore so much of who the Lord is.
But if making the Lord fit ones own failures, then it is easy to do.
OK then that looks like a YES. Am I right that you admit that you are still a sinner? YES or NO?
Thanks for explaining!Studyman is heavily into the Works Righteousness Movement a false Doctrine the believes your works count as part of your Salvation, and then you are responsible to KEEP your Salvation by doing even more works or you lose your salvation. He does not believe that as far as your that JESUS DID IT ALL to SAVE US, and that JESUS and the FATHER are the ones holding on to our SALVATION to KEEP us SAVED. Yes a real Christian does Good Works as a way to show LOVE for our LORD Jesus Christ and for GOD the Father, but those works have no part in SAVING US, or KEEPING US Saved. IT IS NOT A MATTER OF I HAVE TO KEEP HIS COMMANDS TO KEEP MY SALVATION, IT IS IN REALITY, I WILL KEEP HIS COMMANDS AS AN ACT OF LOVE FOR HIM.
John 14:15 (HCSB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] “If you love Me, you will keep My commands.
God loves very much the "One" who is pure and Holy and He loves us His children so much that He had a plan in place to save us from the fall that He knew would happen to Adam and Eve. So we can be sanctified through the Holy Spirit of God. In Him. How much purerer can we be then to be positioned by our faith into God?
If obedience to God is a counterfeit gospel, I am inspired to keep fighting the "real" one.

Amen. We have been cleansed and purified.
When you see His presence in us purifies us, it is our walk in the grace of the Lord,
that is our Holiness, you begin to grasp the glorious reality He has brought on to this earth.
Only the Kingdom knows Holiness, truth, purity, love that is eternal.
You do not learn it from man or the world.
How different are you when clean? The same except the junk has gone.
When you have a plate that is dirty and a plate that is clean what is the difference?
The dirt, not the plate. People expect something that is not meant to be.
What is different in us, is that love of Christ and of our fellow man.
We are so close to walking in Jesus's ways, and being lost.
A perfect day starts with getting up, having food, going about doing what needs
to be done. It is simple. Where is the problem? The words we share, attitudes we
take, the way we want and interact.
But for some walking in the ways of Jesus pure clean and holy even for 1 day is impossible.
So I ask, what is salvation and the Kingdom for them? What is actually believing Christ?
The gospel writers wrote these phrases for a reason.
"Your sins are forgiven."
"See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."
John 5:14
Purification is not the problem it is the addiction or attitude to sin.
The saints are described as Keeping the Commandments of GOD and Having the Faith of Jesus.
Modern day theology leads to doubt and rejection of the simplicity in Christ for the im dead in my trespasses covered by the Righteousness of Christ.. sounds noble to the unbelieving ear.. yet Christ Himself teaches us to be Righteous and perfect.. to Keep the Commandments of GOD.. to cut off our hand if it cause us to sin... remove our eye... that is because it is by believing His Testament that we are Kept by the power of GOD.. believe Him above all else First and foremost.
If your mind reaches to a Paul said.. in place of what Christ said then you are yet to believe.
By the same Spirit all were inspired to elaborate and give examples of what the Messiah taught.
All perfectly placed to Teach and edify us believers.. but all affirm to the Testimony of the Messiah.
I fear that the True gospel is being called counterfeit.. saddened.. because the Gospel teaches Faith that worketh by Love.. and no one should be accused of wrong doing for their obedience to GOD.. but.. is that not what happens to all that believe GOD above men? Through the Old and New Testament from even Cain and Abel.. obedience seems to provoke hate and rage.. our Lord and Saviour did no wrong and was hated.. what should any who believe and Trust expect from the world? To be exalted and given a platform.. tv shows and riches befriending those in power? The True followers will be found in lowly places.. they will not sell out for power or riches.. they have their Good Shepherd as their example... the True King who walked with the poor and sick.. doing nothing but the will of His Father.. humbling indeed.
To those in Christ the True Church of GOD be Faithful always and love GOD and each other just as Christ did.. just as those who were to witness and proclaim the Gospel did.
Forgive as you are forgiven, have mercy as you have received mercy.. love even your enemies. Bring no charge against those that despise you.. be not a judge but a doer and may you and I be worthy to walk in white with the Lord in the Kingdom of GOD may we enter.
peace, love and Grace to you all and all Glory to Heavenly Father and our Lord and Saviour always and forever.
That's odd, as I was sanctified when Jesus' blood was applied to me.
Just like the instruments of the temple and the temple itself.
If you have to be controlled by laws loveme, then you are not yet freed from your nature of sin.
You are still a sheep wandering in the wilderness and need the rod of the shepherd to keep you in the flock. Not the way of the Sons of God at all.
Sons will rule and reign with Jesus. That is the mind of Christ.
Your "new birth" happens after you have been crucified and buried with Christ. (Rom 6:3-6)
Kill the "natural man".
"The wages of sin is death."
Paul writes..."Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; (death), and some men they follow after." (1 Tim 5:24)
Take the judgement now, and bring forth works of righteousness.
Here is a psalm for you stones...
Psalm 23
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Now let those that have ears and eyes through the Spirit of Christ by the power of GOD discern what you say..
So what is your point by posting this psalm loveme?
Lets discern what you are saying for my words were clear. I am not hiding my thoughts.
He brought it on himself for claiming to be sinless, 100% of the time.well I do have a comment, but I don't wish to draw the scorn and the piling on as several of you did to PJW.
Nobody is arguing against that, but this does not mean we are without sin, 100% of the time.He does conclude from scriptures that man can indeed repent and bring works worthy of repentance. He does indeed believe that with the "Helper" given to those who obey God, as Peter preached, it is possible to live in obedience to God.
So even though Abraham was said to obey God's voice, and keep His charge, His commandments, His statutes, and His laws, we see that he was not sinless, 100% of the time. Also, the word "keep" does not mean sinless, perfect obedience 100% of the time. I've seen people abuse and misuse the words of Jesus "go and sin no more" in John 8:11 to teach sinless perfection. Jesus was telling the woman to go and leave her life of sin, namely, she had been practicing adultery. Also, Jesus cannot compromise his perfect holy standard, so of course He is not going to say, "go and just sin a little bit."It is written that Abraham did.
Gen. 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
We know Abraham sinned, we also know he repented and, as Jesus instructed, "Went and sinned no more".
Would you guys pile on the Author of Genesis, ridicule and insult him for these statements?
Righteous and blameless does not mean that they were sinless, 100% of the time (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23).Luke 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
So you just admitted it. WE KNOW THEY ALSO SINNED. Thank you! So Zacharias and Elisabeth were not righteous (in right standing with God) through their own goodness (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:10,23), but their faith was accounted to them as righteousness, just as with Noah (Hebrews 11:7) and Abraham (Romans 4:3). Even under the Old Testament, the only way to be in right standing with God was through faith (Habakkuk 2:4; Galatians 3:11). No one could keep the law perfectly (Romans 3:23; 6:23), so faith had to be put in the mercy and forgiveness of God (Philippians 3:9).We know these also sinned, because all have sinned, but we also know they repented and brought forth "Works" worthy of repentance.
Would you insult and ridicule Luke for making this statement about these two believers?
So do you claim to be sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolutely perfect 100% of the time just like God the Father? Are we actually perfect "in that sense?" NO. Matthew 5:48 - Be Perfect - AT Robertson points out - Perfect (teleioi). The word comes from telo, end, goal, limit. Here it is the goal set before us, the absolute standard of our Heavenly Father, which He cannot compromise. The word is used also for relative perfection as of adults compared with children.Matt. 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Will you guys ridicule and insult Jesus for making this statement and command which directly contradicts your preaching?
Kept the faith does not mean sinless, 100% of the time. There are multiple crowns mentioned in scripture.2 Tim. 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Notice in 1 Corinthians 6:9 that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God, describes the sinful lifestyle of the unrighteous in verse 9-10, then as we read on in verse 11, we discover - And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. All because of FAITH, not sinless perfection.1 Cor. 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Will you insult Paul for claiming himself righteous and ready for the Kingdom?
So you believe that PJW is sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolutely perfect 100% of the time, just as Jesus Christ Himself? 1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Did Jesus demand sinless perfection in the flesh? as the basis for receiving eternal life in John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26.So personally I have never seen PJW transgress God's Commandments. He seems to be teaching the same things as Jesus did.
So why are you defending sinless perfection out of one side of your mouth then admitting we sin out of the other side?I know God will write HIS Laws on our heart. But of course, our heart is nothing but a lump of meat. So we should know He means our mind. He will write His Laws on our mind. But we also have sin (Transgression of God's Laws) in our mind.
We are told not to sin, yet does this mean we NEVER sin at all?Anyone who says they have no sin in their mind is a liar as it is written. But we are told to reign over sin, Yes?
This is what we are commanded to do and is the goal set before us to strive for, yet obviously, if those who are born again never sin at all, then Paul would not have to give us these instructions, so obviously, it happens, Christians are not sinless, 100% of the time.Rom. 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Will you guys insult and relegate Paul as a liar for making such a suggestion?
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
"Sin has no dominion over you/dead in your sins" because we are not under the law, but under grace, but that still does not mean we never sin at all.14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, (Dead in your sins) but under grace. (Alive to serve God in HIS Righteousness)
The Bible teaches in 1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin (present tense), we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. God's word judges those who claim to be sinless, 100% of the time.So I have no reason to judge PJW as a liar or false teacher for simply believing what your Bible and mine teaches.
Sinless perfection is not taught in Romans 7:25.Rom. 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
It is apparent to me that Paul serves the Law of Righteousness, also known as the Laws of God, while letting his OLD MAN, also known as his flesh, be crucified with Christ. So his sinful self is dead, which is the law of sin. But his new self is renewed in his mind.
The Greek word for "put on" is "enduo" and means to enclose oneself in, as when one "puts on" clothes or armor or some other item. Involved in this is the idea of "imitation" and "identification."
I believe it and this does not mean sinless perfection. The NIV says - For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Believers are no longer slaves of sin, but are not slaves of righteousness (Romans 6:18) but that does not mean we will never sin again at all. If it did, then 1 John 1:8-2:1 is superfluous.Rom.6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Do you guys not believe this?
Still does not mean sinless perfection.2 Cor.5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
By claiming sinless perfection? Yeah rightHow do you know PJW wasn't sent to expose your "Transgression of God's Commandments by your own doctrines and traditions?
Sin "reigns" in your mortal body is one thing and occasional acts of sin are another.I don't know that PJW hasn't achieved the goal of refusing to let "SIN" reign in his mortal body.
1 John 1:8-10 is all the evidence I need to disprove sinless perfection. What evidence do any of you have that he hasn't?
How is it when I read your post that psalm came to my mind? Compare what you wrote to the psalm I shared for my fellow sheep to discern whether they want the Good Shepherd leading them and comforted by His rod and staff or like you wrote as though you are free to roam and not be led on the path of Righteousness by the Good Shepherd..
If you are above the rest of us and wiser than we then let it be known that I remain a sheep being lead by the Good Shepherd the Bishop of my soul and be counted lower and unwise by your position always.
Hi Hizikyah
I like your gentle spirit and way of presenting the Word.
I see our initial believing and receiving truth or the gospel of Jesus and salvation being so powerful that it destroys the yoke of bondage of our sin nature completely. Conversion is a experience and we know that we are changed. We know God intervened in our life and we are different. And we have a zeal for the Lord out of that first love. Witnessing everywhere.
But, we didn't know at first that we have an enemy and he would strike.
We arent physical Israel. If we had not been born again however, it wouldn't matter one bit to God for we would be under the same judgement of having to obey the law to be able to enter heaven. And no one can obey the law perfectly.
There are only two men in the earth that God acknowledges and that is Jesus, and Adam. All of us are in one or the other.
And the Cross and the blood of the only man who did please Father perfectly of course is Jesus. Our initial belief places us in the position of being in Him, and He pledges Himself to us that He will finish the work He started and bring us to the "day" safely.
Then He empowers us by His own Holy Spirit...freely gives us giftings including faith, and even love for all these things are in the Spirit of God for this is what God is.
So everything we need we receive in our experiences with God. And faith is strong.
So does Father then judge us when we come then to the time when He decides we need to grow and mature, and difficulties come to us. And we find we have enemies and are betrayed by those we trusted? Does He judge us when we falter in our faith and question God?
Jesus didn't come to judge the world but to save so how much more are we to to Him as His brethren? He gives us a helper who never leaves us while we are on the threshing floor. The encourager. The one who makes us bold to step out in faith one day, then picks us up after a fall on another.
We will be up and down until we come to the perfect. Whatever that is.
So obedience to a set of laws is not what pleases Father. It's communion. Talking with Him just like Moses did. And Abraham. Hearing His Voice telling us what to say in the ministry of reconciliation, for only God knows what words will pierce a heart. Or moving in faith and compassion to lay hands on the sick ones...and God touches.
To live in the anointing. To have an honest heart.
The scriptures coming alive in life's events.
Sons are not above the sheep. Sons were once sheep, but the beast (sin nature) has died. Sons rise from the ashes to give testimony of the Spirit.
I certainly hope you don't desire to remain a sheep for even though you may be saved, you have to be continually kept or you will wander.
And wool and linen doesnt mix.
you mean like posting verses with no context, say that the O.T. is the Gospel ( it is not ), keep the Law to be saved, you mean deceptions like that ?
Paul was saved from sin, and is the worst of those saved.
But to conclude that he still commits sin is an error.
He would certainly be a hypocrite for writing..."Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Corinthians 15:34)
That default changes after you have been reborn.
Remember though, that the old man must be crucified, and buried, before being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life". (Rom 6:3-6)
Until you are a non-sinner, it is written..."God heareth not sinners" (John 9:31)
You have only described those who walk in the darkness.
Those who walk in the light have had ALL their sins washed away. (1 John 1:7)
