Late nights used to not be my thing...

Having a newborn changes things and your perspective on life in general. I didn’t know what to expect when having a baby, but now it’s like my world is surrounded by onesies, formula.. diapers and wipes.. and most importantly... lack of sleep. 5-6 hours is roughly what I get now... when it used to be 8-9 HUGE difference right? Just hope someday I can get a break and get 6 solid hours.. that would be wonderful even just once in a blue moon to get that.

Oh well... the joys of having a baby right? Push through they say....

Push Through....
welcome to parenting. Look to God for strength. There were times I di dnot know how I would make it./ But we did. As I know you will also.

I remember, especially the dirty diapers and the LACK OF SLEEP. Good times! My wife and I used to take turns getting up in the middle of the night with our son when he was a baby. Now he is almost 29 years old.

First Good Morning of the morning.

Someone from church wants help driving to Louisville KY, about 7 hours away from here in eastern Iowa. Drive down today. Drive back tomorrow. I volunteered. I'll see you all tomorrow evening - God willing.

This is an unedifying thread. That's speaking my mind.
Following are the replies. This might be the study of human nature. LOL
This thread promotes Christian fellowship. That seems edifying to me. Best thread on this site.
With that attitude, it's a wonder that ANY thread DOES edify you.. This thread is alot more harmonious than any other in this forum..
Unobtrusive?

...more like unoriginal.

You're like the 300th bored person to stroll into this thread over the years and put it down.

Considering this thread has been a place where people come to lift each other's spirits, have a little fun and...play nice...I'd say that this thread is successful in showing outsiders that are thinking of joining CC that Christians can have a good time, be relaxed...and...well....get along.

...something that is rarely seen if you just click out of this thread and skim over the BDF.

You haven't been around this thread long enough if you think it is unedifying. People share and look for encouragement. They ask for prayers and are prayed for. They enjoy this thread as a place where they are relatively free from judgment, excluding your comment. They try to make others laugh. The problem is not that the thread is unedifying, it is with you not being edifying enough to see the value of the thread.

Ask God what He thinks about this thread before you condemn it as not being spiritual enough for you.

Most friendships are made in the small things in life like this thread, not in heated doctrinal debates such as you find in other threads in the BDF, most of which I don't consider edifying enough to even read, much less participate in.
When one struggles to get others to respond to their comments.........well, this is one sure fire way to get attention.......sadly

Adjective... “edifying”... providing moral or intellectual instruction. I have been edified. LOL

friends, i ask for your prayers for Frank and his family. he was in ICU all week, is home now, and hospice has been called in.
he says he has cancer in his right lung, which works minimally, and the left doesn't work at all.

Frank asks we pray God's will is done, and tells me not to be sad. (i don't know how to do that.)
i know many of you know and love him... sorry to bear sad news. i'll keep you posted, and thank you all.
