He guides my conscience and reminds me of the proper scripture at the proper time. He comforts me by reminding me that hardships are not in vain- that I’m on the road that leads to heaven.

Our society and our culture emphasize independence and acting on our own.

Scripture teaches total dependence on God and NOT acting on our own.

When we prayerfully seek god's will, and instruction before making any decision, the Holy Spirit will find a way to communicate His direction to us.

To be led by the Holy Spirit means complete control. When we study Luke Chapter 4, Luke points out four key words:
1. Full
2. Led
3. Power
4. Anointed

You can't be led by the Holy Spirit if you are not full of the Holy Spirit.

It is about choices.
Self will versus God's will.
The spirit versus the world.
Choosing righteousness over wrongdoing.
Submitting to the word of God.
Praying lots and lots in tongues: making use of the Holy Spirit within.
Strengthening the inner man (or woman).
Going to meetings and being with one's brothers and sisters in Christ.
To love righteousness.
Praying in the Holy Ghost heaps every day.
Reading the Word, and doing it.
Being a new creation in Christ Jesus.
Living Romans chapter 12.
Having the evidence of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your walk.
Being an overcomer.
Upholding the truth and integrity of one's testimony.
Preaching the full gospel of salvation to the unsaved and non-Pentecostal others.

the power of the Holy Spirit in one's walk and in one's faith.
To lay hands on the sick and to pray for healing.
To pray for others and expect one's prayers to be answered.

A Spirit led life will understand the word of God.

A Spirit led life will have comfort,peace,love,joy,and a stable mind.Traits that cause us to love people no matter how they act towards us,and we can tolerate them,and love them,which Jesus gives us joy that no person takes away,and the joy of the LORD is our strength.

If we try to live for God without the Spirit we would not be able to be right,and we would not love people perfectly,which love is the fulfilling of the law.

“Praying in the Holy Ghost.” Jude 1:20


Mark the grand characteristic of true prayer-”In the Holy Ghost.” The seed of acceptable devotion must come from heaven’s storehouse. Only the prayer which comes from God can go to God. We must shoot the Lord’s arrows back to him. That desire which he writes upon our heart will move his heart and bring down a blessing, but the desires of the flesh have no power with him.


Praying in the Holy Ghost is praying in fervency. Cold prayers ask the Lord not to hear them. Those who do not plead with fervency, plead not at all. As well speak of lukewarm fire as of lukewarm prayer-it is essential that it be red hot. It is praying perseveringly. The true suppliant gathers force as he proceeds, and grows more fervent when God delays to answer. The longer the gate is closed, the more vehemently does he use the knocker, and the longer the angel lingers the more resolved is he that he will never let him go without the blessing. Beautiful in God’s sight is tearful, agonizing, unconquerable importunity. It means praying humbly, for the Holy Spirit never puffs us up with pride. It is his office to convince of sin, and so to bow us down in contrition and brokenness of spirit. We shall never sing Gloria in excelsis except we pray to God De profundis: out of the depths must we cry, or we shall never behold glory in the highest. It is loving prayer. Prayer should be perfumed with love, saturated with love-love to our fellow saints, and love to Christ. Moreover, it must be a prayer full of faith. A man prevails only as he believes. The Holy Spirit is the author of faith, and strengthens it, so that we pray believing God’s promise. O that this blessed combination of excellent graces, priceless and sweet as the spices of the merchant, might be fragrant within us because the Holy Ghost is in our hearts! Most blessed Comforter, exert thy mighty power within us, helping our infirmities in prayer.

I see there's no need for me to post here, lol. You got it nailed. The fruit of the Spirit is where the rubber meets the road in being led by the Holy Spirit. If we 'act' like the fruit of the Spirit in all we say and think and do then we will be pleasing to God and be filled with his life in the abundance he said he came and died for us to have.

"10 ...find out what pleases the Lord." (Ephesians 5:10 NIV)

"...understand what the Lord’s will is." (Ephesians 5:17 NIV)

"The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." (Galatians 5:6 NIV)

"10If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete." (John 15:10 NIV)

I found that this truth about walking in the Spirit is the best kept secret in the church. You can tell because of how most Christians behave. But like Jesus said, only a few find the narrow path to the abundant life:

I see all these posts talking about how tongues is the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I have always disagreed with this, Love is the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the fruit must manifest, before the gifts.
