Do you speak to your class this way?
The people I know actually trust Jesus and his promises......like----> HE BEGINS, FINISHES and COMPLETES the work of faith he began in us and he saves to the uttermost and we are kept by his POWER....not our OWN power and or ability........

He made a comment about teaching a class recently.

I've only known one pastor who didn't have to know it all and wasn't afraid to not have an answer or the right answer. And he was open to opposing views and respected people with those views. That's what we did in our Bible studies. We talked openly without fear of being beat up or ridiculed. I learned the most there.
Yeah sounds like you learned a lot....like how to save yourself HAHA wow.....

at least you have something to teach , if you do teach, unlike the " others " on here, who chatter all the time, but say nothing.

Is dc a teacher? Explains the disdain and aggression. I am sure no one crosses him,
just works around him. There is no point bringing the truth, it will just be snide answers, lol.
You bet....only to deceivers who deny the work and righteousness of Christ......rake everyone of them over the proverbial coals....because their dogma does not make the cut in the final day........kind of like denying the imputed righteousness of Christ....

Dude....you embellish and twist people's words more than a pretzel shop....you know good and well the garbage you push....saying you MUST KEEP YOURSELF in the faith or lose it....being dishonest is just as bad as lying.....serious!
For me this weird escalation, short hand meaning
what you believe is evil and a lie, so believing this is sin and send you to hell.

Here is the real problem. Jesus says if you murder a brother with your words, you are liable
to hell yourself.

Now take note, this is Jesus eternal words. Being told I am evil is no problem from sinners
but a wolf who claims to be a brother, this is a learning experience. God is patient, but He
should never be pushed. The Lord has taken His own, because their ministry was getting
counter productive. What about this case I wonder???? God bless you, and I truly mean this
because to fall into His hands is best avoided.

Amen....can you imagine saying you believe in JESUS, but then saying....all below deny Christ and are not from God

I MUST KEEP MYSELF in the faith

The CROSS is not enough

The imputed righteousness of Christ is not enough

Was related to this statement by PeterJens......

Joking apart, God demands my life, to die to self, to live to Christ.
Not surprising little comes out of these people who fake faith.
No contradiction, you cannot save yourself nor can you keep yourself saved.

Our continued belief is not what keeps us saved, it is God who keeps us saved

I am not sure what it is you are reading that is contradictory?

Feel bad, nah... I feel great, I am absolutely secure.

You said this:But before you said this:In one post you say I'm trying to save myself by me saying the onus is upon me to keep believing. But in the other post you explain that God demands we not try to save ourselves but rather "believe in the work He has done on your behalf". Can you explain these contradictory stances of yours?

Don't feel bad, almost every OSASer I talk to online has the same duplicitous doctrinal belief as you do.

I suggest the bible....what you say here is not found in scripture......now you add to the word and presume to speak for Jesus....wow.....

No, seriously. Do you ridicule those you teach this way when they don't agree with you?

How we treat each other is waaaaaay more important than the doctrines we hold. Prolly the biggest lesson of my growing up into Christ. In fact, that is the very reason I reach out to the church. For so many think God is applauding their doctrinal stances and creeds as if what they believe about things is the 'believing' that God is pleased with and wants us to do. That's not even remotely true. But very, very, very few in the church know this. How one acts is the narrow road of life that few find. Treating others the way you would want to be treated if you were in their shoes is pretty much the summation of it. Do you want to be beat up for what you believe? Do you want to be ridiculed for what you believe? Do you want the Bible study and fellowship you're participating in to be like boot camp? I'm betting, no. Then don't do that to others. That will show you are on the straight and narrow road of life few find.

You must keep believing 'the cross is enough' in order to be saved on the Day of Salvation. How you think that's a works gospel is astounding. You can not go back from the cross and still be saved on the Last Day. That's not a works gospel.

The bolded is as false as can be....the narrow way is describing the one true way of salvation and is not indicative of how you ACT....it is based upon what YOU BELIEVE.....and to be frank...I have NO USE for those who trample Jesus under their feet by their false gospels that deny the work and promises of JESUS.....as a matter of fact.....IMO it is not of God......

SEE this is where you miss the mark.....and your view rejects VERB TENSE, The PROMISES of JESUS, the VERY words of GOD and equates to a working for dogma......

Peter says we are kept for the Day of Salvation through faith (1 Peter 1:5) How is that a works gospel? How is it that you think 'through faith' is us trying to save ourselves? Is there a passage of scripture that says having faith is one of the works that can not justify and if we do it in the hope of being saved we are guilty of trying to save ourselves? I'm pretty sure Paul said the exact opposite, that having faith is the ONLY way to be justified, and that it's in direct opposition to trying to do things to justify oneself.

Oh the wounding from such a great authority. I wonder if Satan jumped up and said the same
things, we would take the same note.

Respect from a brother is expected, but an unrepentant sinner, not even a flicker, lol

Wolves lose their bark when you know who they are, sorry to disappoint.
It would be nice to take a mortal wounding, a slow fall to the ground with glazed eyes,
But is not happening. Jesus does love you, no matter how lost and confused you get.

So I DON'T have to continue to believe the cross is enough because I did that already in the past? Peter says it is through faith that I am kept for the Day of Salvation. Are you saying I'm still kept for the Day of Salvation without faith?

The bible sates that we are KEPT by the power of GOD

YOU SAY...YOU MUST KEEP YOURSELF in the faith.....

One is biblical....the latter IS NOT........and is a works based false gospel.....

Either KEPT by GOD'S power or you are not saved......end of story...NO ONE keeps themselves saved......nor can they LOSE it once they have it!
