Yes...........and..........no
It is not disrespectful to the Office to criticize any Elected Official for the job they are doing, their Policies, and their Public Statements. That is part of the Democratic System. Personal attacks can be disrespectful, however, when we consider that the Public Officials THEMSELVES engage in personal attacks against each other on a daily basis, what does that say about them? As for this President, he has (from the start of his Political Career) launched personal attacks against anyone and everyone....so........IS HE disrespecting the Office?
As well, I do not remember comments like these when Obama was the President. And, yes, I criticized Obama often, just as I criticize Trump. However, the difference is, when either of them did/do something right, I ALSO give them kudos for that.
Civil discourse does not add to the hate in this Country in my opinion. What adds to the hate are the special interest groups, Political Action groups that INTENTIONALLY engage in "hate speech" to motivate their Base and increase financial contributions, grab Headlines, and create problems for the "other guys."
I understand your comment........but..........
Anyone bashing our President should be ashamed of themselves. He deserves respect because of the office he holds, and you are adding to the hate that is in this country.
