I disagree. Security keeps one from losing heart. We have an enemy and it does take time to grow before we are adequate soldiers on the front line. We have fiery darts coming from the second heaven, from religious brethren, and our own minds.

Security reigns through the grace of God which is the unmerited power of the gift of Holy Spirit who is given only because we ask. There is the obedience. To desire, and to ask, and to put faith in Him.

I wonder if I will ever catch up with this thread.

Something to consider. At a wedding, there is the groom, bride, elders of the family, the host, and the guests.

who are they all? Think about it.

The same word Knew here is ginōskō. It is the same meaning as to KNOW God....

They knew god relationally?

Again, The English language is the issue, They did not know god relationally or personally.

John said whoever sins has never known God, did John lie? Is he contradicting paul in romans 1? Or is there an interpretation issue that can be resolved?

Jesus said he never knew a group of people and sent them away from him, and called them sinners, Did Jesu slice? Or is there an interpretation issue that can be resolved?

they were lazy christians. By the defenition of the word. Who did not grow up.

Well, the Jews know God and reject Him.

they did not know God, if they did, they would have known Christ, Because christ was a direct representative of the father, As jesus said, if they knew the father, they would have known him, they did not know the father, thats why they did not know him.

They knew their version of what God was. Not god himself.

Rom 1 speaks of people who know God is creator. Know he is judge, Know that sin is against God. But denied it, and made God who would pleas them. Made of wood and stone.

They did not KNOW GOD.

Huge difference of knowing about him, and knowing him.

Song of Solomon also speaks of the Bride. She keeps the vineyards of the sisters, but her own she does not keep. Speaks volumes about her heart.

They KNEW of God,

They DiD NOT KNOW GOD.

abraham knew God. They did not. Moses knew God, they did not. Not like Gods children know him.

The fathers had much dealings with the miraculous and the rock( Christ) did follow. They fell into apostasy, and left the God of their fathers, followed man, (knowledge) rather than Spirit.

He came to an apostate nation. Will He return to one? I don't think so. They will call for Him when our time is done.

true Meggido, and it says the wrath of God has been revealed to them, (via conscience awareness), but they choose to suppress that truth in unrighteousness> Or as the harlot women of apostate belief says in rev 16 & 18, she shall suffer no sorrow, nor shall her children suffer...But the bible says that the wrath of God abides upon the children of disobedience...

Yes we do

they are still christians, and still children of God.

WHich is better than being a person who is not a child of God playing christian who thinks they are saved. And will one day be told by God he never knew them.

which is far more dangerous than being a lazy christian.
