You do realise boasting means to brag right? To display pride. I asked a simple question what have they done. I would think those who perform works for the lord out of love would have no problem simply saying, yes ive done this that and this for the lord out of love. But perhaps i was mistaken.

Why would it matter?

god tells us not to boast and many do not want to, and should not feel like they have t.

again, why do you not ask what God has done for them? That is a much more applicable questions then asking people to boast.

What does this mean? Explain please in detail ;)
Its a prophetic word Dcon. What I heard is your words have come before the Lord and He has taken note of them. And He has plans for you that aren't yet revealed. They won't involve your military strength that you take pride in but they will involve zHis weapons.

You guys are keeping me awake listening. Lol.

Excellent point, whom today could suffer and yet say"forgive them father for they know not what they do"!?
Amen, then on top of that, take on yourself the wrath of God for the world?

I love love the selfie idea, we should have proof of the good work. :D

I was considering a starting a New Thread:

"What works have you done for Jesus today"

Good idea/bad idea.....
not only that you could post a Selfie of yourself in action will serving Jesus.
Good grief I think I was having a moment about myself. :)

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."

At the judge seat of Christ everyones works will be on full display. If someone asks you a question and you simply answer it its not boasting lol. If people want to say that then go ahead.

Well now,

I could tell you about my works, then I could say my works are much better than your described works, that is why we should not be talking about our works or asking about someone else's work.

Just a thought.:)
This is really funny...my works are better than your works...sounds like James and John the Sons of thunder huh? Lol

John and Charles Wesley taught this false doctrine. They were called on it by George Whitefield. Whitefield exposed many who professed to be sinless, to the chagrin of the Wesley's.

Most are not aware of how very ugly the Wesley's were toward Whitefield. They were rascals to say the least, dogging his steps where he preached to lead others astray, taking over orphan homes he had established, turning people against him, publishing sermons against him. In other words they sowed discord and caused much division.

Oh, and many of the hymns of Charles Wesley were written against election and predestination, a biblical doctrine they repudiated and outright rejected. Yep, they rejected this biblical doctrine. Sad.
I bet my Methodist grandparents didn't know this. They were just humble people who loved the Lord. Now you've got me curious. Am going to research.
Am glad you told these things.

I have no problem answering to God, I will still not be worthy except for the fact he love me,

god asking me and you you asking me though, not quite the same,

So so you have not answered, do you think we have to work to maintain salvation?

I grew up in a hellfire United Methodist church. Then Independent Baptist. Then Reformed Baptist.

Arnold Dallimore's George Whitefield biography has much of this information. There are 2 volumes, and they are very good.

I never made any implications about doing works to maintain salvation. if person rarely does any works or none at all that will not go unjudged however they wont lose salvation from it.

You are right though. Social media is a great place to minister. People are sad, lonely and searching. The Lord will guide them to you.

Night is a great time to do this.
