then again maybe I shouldn't be so humorous since "love" does a neighbor no hurt, but "laughter" can be very "painful".Well that was what we needed. A good laugh. Thanks Joe. You're a sweetheart!
what "if" I was being seriously serious though?
And he IS A DEVIL AND A THIEF THAT HOLDS THE BAG etc.......
The word "IS" is a "Be" verb and shows a state of being.....JUDAS IS A DEVIL....it was plain as day!
Luke 19, 9-10 9And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.10For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Mark 8:35
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Well said!
In 1 Co 13 Paul boiled all the good works down to ONE thing: Love.
We can do all the things you listed and more, but without love we gain nothing. No reward.
So that begs the question WHY do we love?
He loved us first. We abide in His love. He forgave us of much.
These truths produce true good works.
I'm not sure what or to whom your comments are referring to; Jesus is using this parable of the talents to show His disciples the importance of growing God's kingdom. God is not going throw one of His children into outer darkness - your reasoning of the scripture is nonsense, fruitless and even cult like, - you are banished to my ignore list, and hopefully Christianchat.com, will see your cruel and insensitive remarks, to all the kind and loving folks here.Romans 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so
The aorist tense is the one that can have different aspects to it which I believe I saw someone post.
The reality is - when people heard back in biblical New Testament days the words being spoken to them they would know the "implications" of the tenses when used. Even all the perfect Greek speakers and readers still need the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to us in the scriptures.
The disciples were with Jesus for over 3 years and He told them in some form or other 17 times that He as going to die and they still didn't understand it.
One thing I have learned is that we can't "make" people see the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Think back to when we were stuck in our own thinking from our church teachings. It is by revelation of the Holy Spirit only that we can see the truths that are in Christ.
A religious stronghold that is hard to uproot is a church teaching that we have been taught all our life. But the Holy Spirit can break through this belief system. Our job is to "proclaim Him and what He has done" and we leave the "revelation" and acceptance of it in the hands of the Lord.
We are all in the same journey together walking with our Lord. Without Him we can do nothing and yet with Him we can do all things.
Why does anyone feel that must know GREEK to understand the bible?
ok back to my "original" purpose for coming to this thread again,Fran I was wondering if you saw this post because I know many people seem to "rail"'on you,and I wanted to tell you that I don't do that sort of thing despite sometimes sounding perhaps witty at times.no concerning God's word I stick to "Truth"if you interpret my posts otherwise, then so be it,I simply was answering questions through the holy spirit,I was not "railing" on anyone as some tend to do,my purpose is only to serve God with answering questions about his word, particularly "salvation" and "baptism" I focus upon when someone "requests" to "learn",I by no means choose anyone's side or "force" anyone to believe as I believe, for this is "wrong" and I "detest" such foolishness anyways, everyone has "choices" to make,my role mainly is to "answer" when someone has a question regarding God's word, tell people of "salvation" and "baptism" but only if they "request" to learn, and I'm especially glad to be able to answer through the holy spirit,I know not why only now God has given me his spirit so abundantly, but as his servant I will do what I can for him by "helping" whom seek him come to him, just as with Fran I have spent a few times of lack of sleep to answer her questions, just like this morning I took "time" to speak with her not out of malicious intent but rather compassion even though it was 5 to 6 am and I had work at 8am and got no sleep(already couldn't sleep)but since there was reason to answer through the holy spirit,I simply did,for though I was ragged I sought to do God's will, which is why I frequent so many times here as well as other sites,to be there for "anyone" who seeks to learn God's word, and especially if they wish to become closer with God.(my dear debate partner Fran as always you may format this post for me,I always appreciate it,just as I really look forward to your posts, they really are quite interesting, the tougher the question the more I feel compelled to answer, despite how I may sound at times,[every once in a while I know I sound sarcastic, but don't take that for mocking,I do respect your views,I just sometimes speak too quickly on some topics, which I'm trying to keep from such quick wit, noone is beyond correction including me of course,so I now leave most of what I say to God,especially concerning serious topics like,God's word]well I'll discuss with you later,God bless you!)

I don't disagree with that. I believe that upon salvation we enter into that Kingdom, we get to participate in the things of God, and He participates in our lives.
He lives with us and and we with Him, as a new creation.
We are guided in Spirit by Him, we live by the Spirit.
I also believe that it is a transaction that cannot be undone, because salvation is the beginning, our eternal life in the Kingdom begins with salvation, it does not end in salvation.
believe DOES NOT MEAN ' to do ' , either site your source that says so, or stop saying it.
