Peter in that chapter was referring to false teachers and profits, who knew the truth and were purposely spreading false doctrine. nothing to do with working to stay saved. he was speaking to the false teachers who new truth , but denied it.
also notice that in verse 20 that they have knowledge of Jesus, he did NOT say that they BELIEVED in Him. big difference.
I know you asked grace 7, not me ( I think I hit a nerve with my reductionism explanation ), but that is what Peter is addressing in chapter 2, and that is not a matter of subjective opinion, that is truth.

I don't know what a strawman is, which I'm sometimes accused of doing,
and I don't know about reductionism --- but apparently YOU do so what does that say??
As far as Peter, PHart has much more patience than I do.
Are you serious?
2 Peter 2:20-21 or 22.
It's talking about false Teachers?
So are some here. Are they saved?
What difference does ist make WHO it's talking about??
THEY WERE LOST
THEY BELIEVED
and then THEY BECAME LOST AGAIN
And you say they had KNOWLEDGE of Jesus but didn't BELIEVE in Him.
So how come your Greek is not working for you this time around?
What does it mean that Joseph KNEW Mary?
If you KNOW Jesus, you believe in Him.
Amazing how scripture has to be twisted to maintain the false doctrine of OSAS!
