EG has never placed me on ignore and a last week stated that just because I placed him on ignore and I do not respond to him meant nothing to him and he would not ignore me...and continue to reply to me.

This shows his lack of respect for others and his abusive nature towards others.......

for the umpteenth time (I am getting sick of this persons lies)

EG told meggido, If your going to continue to slander him, and attack him for things he does not believe, To please ignore him.

He decided to ignore me, Thats on him, not me, If he can not be honest and try to figure out what people believe, thats on him

it does not make it a requirement that I ignore him.

I knew you had written on this before, I am so glad you repeated it because my brain is in summer vacation.

There is always that deeper understanding that is so important.

I agree....the cry of legalism is always trying to be like God but independent of God -

It appeals to "goodness" which is why the true Christian life is lived by grace through faith in what Christ has already done in His finished work on the cross and resurrection.

Colossians 2:6-8 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
[SUP]7 [/SUP] having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

[SUP]8 [/SUP] See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

I so so hear you.....it is only about wanting to release them from those chains, I know in my case sometimes it really takes the hand of God, you were fortunate to have such a friend but you were also honest with yourself that is the key really.

I was bound to what I was taught, 20 years ago, I would have made people like Peterjenz and Meggido look like saints. I am thankful that one friend stood up to me and would not let me continue, and made me question 1 truth, which got me to question a bunch of truths. and has schanged ddno only my attitude but my thinking.

However, I will admit, When I see them, They remind me of the chains I was sin, and I want to free them, sso much so I am sure I go about it the wrong way out of desperation for their souls.

There we have it folks, to be "planted and grounded" is to remove faith in God's grace and place it in self instead.
False statement based upon EG misrepresentation of Megido comment....great discernment here.

I was only honest with myself after months of this person dealing with my pride and arrogance. I am suprised he llet it go so long.. And I am very thankful.

Scripture is very clear. There is a "cosmic" or "universal" aspect to Christ's work on the cross.

Scripture even talks about Christ including all of creation in His finished work too and now it is groaning waiting for it's redemption from the sin that is in the world

All people of the world were included in Christ's work on the cross. Rom. 5 speaks of this as does 2 Cor. 5:14.

They must believe in order to receive what Christ has already done in His finished work.

There is a vast difference between a universal atonement and "universalism" which says that all dogs go to heaven.

1 Timothy 4:10 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

2 Corinthians 5:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

We see a picture of this when the 2 thieves "were crucified with Him".

The fact that the Holy Spirit put in the truth of the 2 thieves "being crucified with Him" in all 4 gospel accounts shows the importance of it.

One believed and the other didn't. When people receive the gospel message of the forgiveness of sins - these remain/abide/stay in Christ - those that do not - will be cut off.

The other aspect to this is that we "believers" need to live by Christ's finished work in order to bear fruit unto God. It is His life that bears the fruit.

We don't "generate" fruit on our own - we abide in Christ's life and His life produces the "sap" for fruit-bearing as He alone is the true Vine. Without Him and His finished work on the cross and resurrection - we can do nothing.

Truth is like an onion - it has many facets to it...:)

Well I thought having someone ignore me would work, but it doesn't LOL because they still see your posts if someone replies, I think a mutually ignoring is probably best sometimes, this is a discussion board in the end.

Amen...you are not saying we will do nothing, it is we can do nothing, a BIG difference

And He lifts up the branches that need it, like a loving vineyard master would, so that they are more fruitful.

At one time I had several people on ignore, but I found out they wanted it that way so they can talk about you behind your back.

So now the only ones I have on ignore are those goofballs that make no sense.

Hi Grace,

I wanted to address this last part.

Yes we abide and therefore we have fruit.

But the fruit isn't revealed in us until we do something.......as in obey our Lord and Savior and walk in holiness. Our Lord doesn't give us sap, He gives the power of the Holy Spirit so that as we walk in Him, we will never stumble.

When we do stumble, we get out of step with Him .......we're putting the old man back on. But when we walk in the newness of life in the new man, that's when we produce the fruit. And when we stumble, we're to confess our sin and He cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

We all have everything in Christ. And when we're born again, we have it all. We live in the truth, we walk in the truth, we continue in the truth, we grow in truth and that means we live a life of obedience. Obedience is the fruit that's being produced in us through the grace of God.

3 For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness..4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.Romans 10:

if self, is still trapped, in looking at there, so called, sin in them selfs, whos righteousness is being disregarded , and what chance have you, to grow to spiritual gifts, if cut off from growth to spiritual gifts.
,then your cut of from the rhema.

1 Corinthians 12: Spiritual Gifts
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.2 You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led.3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus is accursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except in the Holy Spirit.

14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"Romans 10

The Message of Salvation to All
5 For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.6 But the righteousness based on faith says, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down)7 or "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).Romans 10:

Genesis 1:26

[SUP]26 [/SUP]And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:[SUP] what does this mean ?

does it mean this
Ecclesiastes 12:7

7 [/SUP]and the dust returns to the ground it came from, (the flesh our bodies)
and the spirit returns to God who gave it. (it seems we are all born with spirit from God at birth at the moment of conception ..) we are all born with spirit....

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind. This is the work we must do all mankind saved and unsaved..

including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

Malachi 3:16

Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name.

So that, my beloved, as ye always obey, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, with fear and trembling your own salvation work out,.

What does it mean to work out salvation with fear and trembling ...

What does it mean to work out salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12) ... in my absence – continue to work out your salvation with fear and tremblin
