I don't care about being better than anybody, but I will tell you how great it is to live here in Tennessee.

We're too far north to get Florida summers.
We're too far south to get Wisconsin winters.
Too far from the east and west coasts to get their smog.
Too far inland to get hurricanes.
Too many rivers and streams to get drought. I've heard of lack of water, but never seen it.
And we still have broadband internet almost everywhere. :cool:

I have no interest in being better than anybody else, I just like living here. If it sounds to you like I'm saying we're better than y'all, it's probably a good indication that you need to move over here. Come on over, we got plenty of room.

And about your relatives, Yezara, if they talk about Tennessee being better than other places, tell them they should stop going to places that aren't as good as Tennessee. :p
 
Some stupid woman tried to sweeze by me
so she could get into the left turn lane at an intersection and came super close to rubbing her car against mine. Her window was wide open and i could have yelled
something rather unpleasant towards her but i kept quiet against every ounce of my will...

why are there so many idiot drivers now!
 
Regional ethnocentrism is pretty common. It even existed in Wyoming.

We used to say "The wind always blows in Wyoming because Nebraska sucks".

Then again, we also used to say "Wyoming - where men are men, and sheep are nervous."
 
I had thought that being on the road for a protracted amount of time would feel grueling after a certain point, but it ended up being very different than that. There were even times I was crawling out of my skin, wanting to get back on the road and explore. But seeing family and another CCer was nice, and I would do it again (preferably when the weather is cooler).

LOL Katie I read that as "I lost 24 pounds today." I was like "Oh wow girl, what are you doing?" hahaha
 
I'd appreciate prayers as I'm 13 hours away from having abdominal surgery that will keep me in the hospital for 3-4 days. It's kind of weird, but part of me isn't nervous and part of me is.
