VIRGIN CHRISTIANS

Within the body of Christ there are many Unmarried virgins around
Male and females from different countries, ages and background
For whatever reason sex and marriage hasn't taken place yet
Many became christians as virgins and want to truly set
Themselves apart from the world around them by seeking to obey god
They want to remain holy and obey Christ, thought the world thinks it's odd
As sex is everywhere and in almost everything, and those unsaved think they are free
When in fact they are the ones in bondage to darkness and sin which they cannot see

A christians worth is not determined whether they are still a virgin or not
Or whether they are married or single. Some get harassed a lot
Some keep their private life to themselves, others don't care what others think
Many outside of Christ who are virgins would happily loose their virginity in a blink
Yet some who aren't christian want to remain virgins till they're married or meet the right partner
However for a child of God their lives are committed to Christ;fornication should be a non-started
Sex is deeply intimate and to follow Gods way is really the best way to be
Why give into the worlds immoral standard..it will only lead to misery

Some although a virgin can struggle with sexual sin like porn and such like
As they can be sexually tormented and battle privately to do what is right
Some can feel under pressure from modern society or from those around them
To loose their virginity and have 'so called fun',from girls/boys/women and men
Jesus came here in the form of a man and was a virgin. He knows the things your're pressured to do
Though the son of God he was here in the flesh,he experienced temptations same as you
He was tempted in every way just as we are yet he did not sin..(Hebrews 4;15)
God wants you to keep your virginity. It is precious. It doesn't matter if you're 60 or 16

A good as well as true point in this. Being holy and remaining pure before God is also what one honours God with when remaining virgin until one get's married or until Jesus Christ returns, we are also called to being holy and pure even when being already married or not too, though.

It is sad with the big pressure of sex in this world, it also starts at such a young age as well. You have even 11 year olds talking about either wanting to have or already having had sexual intercourse, it is really sick! I remember a girl from my class who wasn't happy about still being a virgin at age 16, she was willing to just have sex with anyone to loose her virginity. I think she did this with one guy from a class over her as I saw her walking hand in hand together with him whilst having a big smile on her face, but I never heard anything about them being officially together. I remember I thought it was really ridiculous when she was complaining about not wanting to be a virgin at age 16, I even told her this and if she liked the idea of becoming pregnant which could also happen to her. I don't remember everything I told her, but I tried to warn her about not loosing her virginity, also because she sounded like if she felt there was something wrong with her just because she was still being a virgin.

Before I got married I was proud of still being a virgin, I wasn't ashamed of it and wanted to save it till after I got married. If I wouldn't have gotten married I would have been happy to keep myself pure and holy before God by staying a virgin. Some people would find it strange, some would make fun of it or find it ridiculous, but there were also those who admired my decision made and who thought it was great thought-wise. In this world you will be seen as a looser or laughed at if you remain a virgin for a longer time than how it is viewed through most people's eyes, or if you prefer waiting till after you are married, or just prefer being single living in celibacy.

By staying virgin one shows a great faithfulness towards God, as well as one excersises discipline and endurance.

No.. They are all sinners,, virgins and not virgins makes no difference.. So they do not seek to set themselves apart because they are not apart because of their virginity.. We are set apart by God because we believe Jesus and trust in the Atonement he secured for our salvation..

They want to remain holy
The Only reason why a human is Deemed Holy is because their sins are covered by the Blood of the LORD Jesus Christ who is Redeeming them.. No one is Holy because of they are virgins..

Hi MorningFlower thanks for your comments

(This poem wasn't actually finished..during typing it I somehow pressed the wrong button and it posted it...but I had time to edit it which i did..but ran out of time and it didn't amend what had been posted..so I'm going have to send a second poem (same title probably named part two) which technically Would of been the parts missing from this one..)

Yes my dear..this is one of the areas christians get attacked on at times..'their sexuality'...even married christians who don't engaged in certain sexual activities as a couple can occassionally be made to feel that their love life isn't experimental enough by non christians ect..it's just crazy..

Yes for those who are still virgins they are wise to remain that way until they get married as part of their commitment to Christ and sexual purity is a tremendous thing to experience with Gods help and there is enough clean christian material available to them who want to understand more about sex in a clean an honourable way to help them understand how it all works ect.

In England they recently wanted laws to be passed so that they can start sex education in primary schools to young children as more and more young children are becoming sexualised and it is almost out of control due to the internet, pop industry,advertising,media..ect ect..It's everywhere.
Regarding that girl who wanted to loose her virginity with just anybody in order to kinda fit in,happens many times as work places...schools..colleges..aren't always easy places to cope with such pressures.Yet Joseph in the bible was a virgin and refused to have sex with photipar's wife no matter how many times she tried to seduce him out of his sheer devotion to god.

Praise God for your own testimony too, and what the world thinks doesn't matter at all and seeking to follow Gods way may cause a degree if harassment as Jesus said blessed are you when people insult you ect because of him..it is an honour because your in th world but not of the world and may god use you journey in this area to bless others also!!

No.. They are all sinners,, virgins and not virgins makes no difference.. So they do not seek to set themselves apart because they are not apart because of their virginity.. We are set apart by God because we believe Jesus and trust in the Atonement he secured for our salvation..

Hi of course we are set apart because we belive in Jesus Christ and have salvation based upon his death on the cross for us..that goes without saying. We are in the world but not of the world..we are sheep and not goats..praise god.

The context here wasn't anything to do with being set apart because of their virginity..(that almost sound like what some countries practise when choosing brides for a king ect).No I'm referring to a christian virgin choosing NOT to follow the trends of the world around them..choosing NOT to compromise their devotion to follow Christ..and in choosing to do this they are choosing to SEPERATE themselves from whatever ideologies, pressures exists around them to loose their virginity. There will always be a divide between gods people and those not yet saved..
Remember that the bible tells us (even thought we are already set apart through our salvation through Jesus Christ)"..NOT to conform to this world but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. This is the context I ment in the poem, choosing NOT to be part of the trend that's taking place around them hence I used the term 'wanting to set themselves apart from the world around them by seeking to obey God.'..
Over the years I have seen some christians give into this pressure to loose their virginity..some even became pregnant..caught an STD..not all but some have

Final point honest..lol
In the poem I deliberately mentioned people outside of christ who want to keep their virginity for a variety of reasons..yet keeping ones virginity it itself means nothing..such actions can't save you or make any different to a persons standing with God..Yet a sinner whose received eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ ect who 'is just happens to be a virgin'..will naturally want to remain a virgin til they are married UNTO GOD..
