I spoke of an event, not a lifestyle..

I can serve the poor and do it out of Gods love, I can also serve the poor and expect something in return. it does not mean I do not love the poor. it means in that moment, I chose to serve self and not the poor.

Now. In the example of someone serving to save himself. your right,, He is not saved, and he does not love the poor. he is doing it for self gain, in this case, the gain is eternal life.. To keep it, to earn it or to have it.. same difference.
Yep, eve If we give to the poor not always because of love. It may for popularitas.

snake is animal, but animal may not snake.

love more likely give the poor, If we have something to give, but give the poor, may not love the poor.

I agree EG,

Romans 10 9-10

Just shows that we believe in our heart is that God raised Him from the dead, when a person does this they have some understanding of the work Jesus accomplished.

We come to Him on His terms and He knows our heart and we may or may not have all the right words,

He is Lord because of who He is and what He has accomplished for us, this status is inherent in who He is, it is not ascribed to Him by us, I do understand though that we acknowledge who He is as Lord and Saviour.

Those people did not confess the lord. They professed their works.

Your continued attempts to try to discredit people just gets worse.

Jesus said he NEVER KNEW THEM, please do not try to tell us that a person can be saved, And God will say he NEVER knew them..

They also practiced unrighteousness, John says that he who does this has never seen God or known him. So those people also have never known God, if they did, they would not be trying to use their works to gain entrance into heaven, they would KNOW God woul not accept them as payment.

He accomplished for those WHO accept Him in his heart. And If He in us, we Will bear fruit. The fruit is agape love.

back to 1 John 4:20

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”

if a man confess a christian and not do agape work, he is a liar and not save

don't forget that the Bible indicate there is correlation between faith and work,

salvation is by faith, not by work, but faith couse agape work

Have a look at when Jesus asked Peter if he loved him.
The first 2 times Jesus asked him "Do you Agape me?
Peter responds with "I Phileo love you"

The third time Jesus asks

Do you Phileo me, Peter gets upset and says "You know I Phileo you"

Peter believed in Jesus but his love was not Agape to start with but he was saved.

Peter grew from Phileo to Agape.

smh, these people are at the final judgment, the are being judged whether they will enter heaven or hell, everyone at that point will declair jesus lord, and every knee will bow.

Romans 14, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus

yep, because a man can not produce agape love of itself, a branch can not bear fruit of itself, a Vine is the producer.

I do not think stay in phileo love save us, you do not need to be Christian for phileo love

matt 25 indicate only agape love count for salvation, the sheep is those WHO did agape love

matt 25:

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Yes, Paul uses the two extremes to show the influence of the Holy Spirit, the topic of discussion is spiritual gifts and the Holy Spirit.

This is also seen in 1 John 4:2-3

1 Corinthians 12.3-

True, they called Him Lord, but He didn't know them. They based their righteousness on their works not on relationship with Him.

Interesting that those who also called him Lord, Lord were cast away from.

Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?'

Matthew 7:22

He is Lord we do not make Him Lord.

Calling Him Lord then is part of our relationship with Him, and not part of our salvation?

I don't see the connection. He said He never knew them, therefore He has to know us to be saved. And knowing Him is relationship. Salvation is calling Him Lord. If you confess He is Lord - you shall be saved.

Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

It is through following we reveal we are sons.

A son reveals his father through his obedience.

John 8:39 "Abraham is our father," they replied. "If you were children of Abraham," said Jesus, "you would do the works of Abraham.

Hmm... I guess it comes down to what it means to confess Him as Lord and which scripture you are using?

I'm referencing the Scripture you quoted. In it He teaches, those He doesn't know are not saved. And Him knowing us is relationship.

I'm still waiting for a verse from YOU that quotes Jesus saying that "works" are not necessary.

Also,,, .
You said that following the 10 commandments is not what makes one a saint.
Is there someone here who does NOT believe in Jesus?
No.
So, once again you encourage Christians to NOT follow God's moral law...
The commandments.

YOU, my dear young man, will have much to answer for.
God demands more from those who claim to teach His ways.
John recorded the words of Jesus and you have consistently proven that you reject almlst half of the N.T., have no understanding of inspiration, reject the words of Paul as the words of Jesus and to be frank, like the Pharisees walk in darkness!
