The body that gets planted (buried) is the SEED or DNA of the NEW BODY. The new body can't come into existence with the seed - the planted body.
The physical body goes in the ground and stays there, PERIOD. There will be no human DNA in our spiritual body.

2 Cor 5:

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent (physical body), is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven (new spiritual body, which is from heaven, not earth).

Are we on the same page?

it sure did and at the same time all were brought into one in Christ, the Old Testament saints dry bones were raised and given life. That's what Ezekiel 37 is all about a prophecy of the resurrection.
Oh boy, I give up, let's drop it. Eze 37 has nothing to do with a literal resurrection. Spiritual resurrected bodies don't stay and live in Israel, they go to heaven.

They were taken from among the nations. They are living human beings. It's the nation that is being "resurrected" having been "killed" by Babylon. The below did not, and does not happen to resurrected spiritual bodies.

[SUP]21 [/SUP]“Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land.

Humbug.

Show me where Israel was regathered.

The reunification of Israel and Judah happened when??? They left as two countries and returned as one. This happened 500 years before Christ came. What are you talking about???

In the first half of Eze 37 Israel is restored to her Land following Babylonian captivity. She follows God. v. 1-14.

In the second part promises were being made.

[SUP]22 [/SUP]and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.

This happened after they returned from Babylon. Forward looking promises of what would have been had they not rejected Christ comes next.

and My servant David shall be their prince forever. [SUP]26 [/SUP]Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. [SUP]27 [/SUP]My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. [SUP]28 [/SUP]The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”’”

Did the second temple last forever? No. The above didn't happen in the literal sense because the Builder's rejected Him. So, does the above happen in the spiritual sense? You bet it does:

1 Pet 2:

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, [SUP]5 [/SUP]you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

“Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”[SUP] 7 [/SUP]Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,“The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,”[SUP] 8 [/SUP]and

“A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.”They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.[SUP] 9 [/SUP]But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; [SUP]10 [/SUP]who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

DNA has to do with flesh, bones, and blood. It which could never enter the Kingdom of God. The seed is spiritual and not after any rudiments of this world (dust). Its seed as in one (spiritual) and not seeds as in many( fleshly) ,The Son of man Jesus who dwelt in the many corrupted seeds coming from the loins of Abraham clearly informs us the flesh profits for nothing .It is his living Spirit, the seed, that does profit. The flesh returns to the lifeless spiritless dust it was formed of. It has no value whatsoever .Its a new creation not reincarnation or rebuilt. Clearly what we will be is not that in which we are.

DNA is the BOOK God wrote, some DNA books are for celestial bodies and some terrestrial. Go not plant a seed and see what you get lol.

Jude 1:14 KJV
[14] And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Jesus returns with ten thousands of his saints... did he leave that way?

Acts 1:11 KJV
[11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

So we had a huge resurrection at the resurrection of Christ, so huge that some people were teaching that the resurrection had already come and gone, but this wasn't the resurrection lol.

Where is the 70 AD resurrection mentioned in the bible?

Everywhere that the main resurrection in discussed (John 5:28, 6:40, 44, 54, 11:24, Dan 12:2-3, Acts 24:15, etc).

The "last day" was the last day of the Temple. The resurrection is tied to the destruction of Israel and the punishment of the unbelieving wicked Jewish leaders of that day (John 12:48, James 5:3). "Last day" and "end of the age" are the same thing.

Humbug.

Show me where Israel was regathered.
It was regathered twice, once after Babylon and once after Rome in 1948. This doesn't mean everyone came back and in fact few did. It simply means the nation was restored by the descendants who left. You can study this on your own.

I'm not throwing them out. I'm trying to explain that the "dry bones coming back to life" represents Israel coming back to life in her land following Babylonian captivity. If you don't get it, you don't get it. It's okay, its all good. We aren't going to agree on everything and we don't.

I think this is a little more appropriate. 1 cor 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."

I take it, you do not literally read your Bible thus you are not really not serious about learning it valuable information.
In Adam all die physically. In Christ, (all who come to Him) will live spiritually forever. I take it even the simplest spiritual truths are lost on you.

I think GOD is intelligent enough to say exactly what HE MEANS, and you believe something else.
Pot calling the kettle black?

If you would take the time to read history and compare it to the Bible you'd stop all this nonsensical talk. Deu 28:47-68 was all about 70 AD. But you haven't read Josephus so you wouldn't know. You probably haven't read Deu 28 either.

You want to know what happened to Israel/Judah in the last days?

Deut 31:29 “For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you. And evil will befall you in the latter days, because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands.”

Isa 65:15
And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

Act 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Acts 3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Yes, and that prophet from Acts 3:23 was Jesus, the son of Ananus. But because Tim LaHaye doesn't mention him, they wouldn't know about him.

@ PW

1 Corinthians 15:20 KJV
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Why is Christ become the FIRSTFRUITS (plural) of them that SLEPT (past tense)? If Christ was the only one risen from the dead then he would have became the FIRSTFRUIT (singular) of them that SLEEP (present tense).

Can you explain this?
Firstfruits (plural) appears 33 times in the Bible (NKJV) whereas, firstfruit (singular) appears just once (Rom 11:16). If you go back to Exo 23, 34 and Lev 2 and 23 or Num 18:12 or Deu 18 and 26 you will see that you are to give the firstfruits (plural of your labor, your crops, grain, wine, etc) to the Lord as an offering or tithe. The idea of firstfruits is to give the first of your blessings back to the Lord.

Christ being the firstfruits of those who sleep means He was the first to be resurrected. Remember, "sleep" is a term used for the soul waiting in Hades (Sheol in the OT).

How can the dry bones prophecy of Ezekiel by fullfilled later than 70 AD when Jesus said ALL that was written would be fulfilled?

Luke 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

And Peter states that all the prophets spoke of the days he was living in?

Acts 3:24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
Did I say after 70 AD? It was after Babylon. Sorry if I was vague.

Zechariah 14?

Got that covered too - for the edumakayshun of the woody literalist:

Zechariah 14 is highly significant in regards to the river of life and the identity of the whore of Babylon.

Carrington in his book "Proof of the Gospel" stated the Eusebius "called the father of church history" says that Zechariah 14 "predicted the final siege of the people by the Romans (in 70AD), through which the whole Jewish race has become subject to their enemies"

Among the early Christian writers there has always been an understanding that Zechariah 14 predicted the parousia of Jesus in 70AD.

According to the Second Coming Bible "Theophylact and Cyril held this view."

In Hengstenburg's book "Christology of the New testament" he also states "Jerome and several others of the early "fathers" also applied Zechariah to "the captivity of the Romans."

Merril Unger a millennialist in his "Zechariah: Prophet of the Messiahs' Glory" acknowledged that Zechariah's prophecy was applicable to 70AD and this view was held by many early writers.

Adam Clarke a respected Methodist scholar and commentator said "This appears to be a prediction of that war in which Jerusalem was finally destroyed and the Jews scattered over the face of the earth."

Futurists reject the application of Zechariah because of their insistence on a woody literal interpretation.

We can see the correspondence between Zechariah and John's revelation here:

The fall and destruction of Jerusalem:

(Zec 14:2 KJV) For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

(Rev 14:8 KJV) And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Escape will happen and coming of the Lord

(Zec 14:5 KJV) And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

(Rev 18:4 KJV) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

(Rev 14:1 KJV) And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

There will be a time of light:

(Zec 14:6 KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

(Zec 14:7 KJV) But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

(Rev 21:23 KJV) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

The Lord will be King and there will be no more curse:

(Zec 14:9 KJV) And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

(Rev 22:3 KJV) And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

The river of life flows from Jerusalem:

(Zec 14:8 KJV) And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

(Rev 22:1 KJV) And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

The nations will come unto Jerusalem:

(Zec 14:16 KJV) ....the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts......

(Rev 21:24 KJV) And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

(Rev 21:25 KJV) And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

(Rev 21:26 KJV) And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

The river of life has been flowing since Pentecost, not all the nations are yet are walking in the light of the heavenly Jerusalem - there is never going to be an earthly centered "holy city".

(Heb 12:18 KJV) For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

(Heb 12:22 KJV) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

(Heb 12:26 KJV) Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

(Heb 12:27 KJV) And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

The heavenly city of God can never be shaken
I always took Zec 14 to be about Antiochus and the Maccabees. Will have to look at this again. It was around that time (167 BC) that the Canaanites disappeared.

They have no business in this thread. The rapture is a joke to them. Jesus' cruel joke.

Pathetic.
Does the Bible say that an evil man will rise up in Europe and rule over 10 nations (now 28) and cause everyone to take a computer chip then goes around killing all who refuse? Does the Bible discuss pilots being yanked out of planes, and trains smashing into stations? Does the Bible predict a third earthly temple being built and re-institution of animal sacrifices that the antichrist allows, then ends? Do stars crash into the earth like figs? Does the sky really get rolled up so that there is no more air to breath? Do two men stand on the temple mount breathing fire at their enemies only to be killed by a huge 7 headed beast which crawls up from a pit? Do scorpions fly and sting only the men with computer chips in their hands? Do frogs come out of dragon's mouths to gather people to battle? Do islands flee? I didn't know they had legs. Do all the stars in the universe have dimmer switches? Will the sun literally turn black and the moon turn into blood? How does that happen? If the sun is black we wouldn't even see the moon.

No, the rapture isn't a joke. Your view of it is.
