Jesus would be better off giving them each a gift certificate for McDonald's. They can get something off the dollar menu.

Sigh...

My heart is full. My hubby and his dad and a friend of ours are painting the baby's room. ^_^

And btw.... baby is due in 10 weeks! <3

It would be really cool if CC had a tagging feature so if someone mentions you in a comment it notifies you.

...Jon will start #Pipp for every post, no matter what, just to drive her bonkers.

lol

I've thought about that before, and that's how it is on facebook... but in my case it would go off every time someone types "zero".

So I took a bike ride down the coast for a little while tonight and found this amazing spot.

A single, lone bench to sit down on....

It also offers a beautiful view.

Addison, that looks very similar to where I was earlier tonight, sitting on a bench by the river looking across the water and down toward the river delta... looking the other way, we could see Mount Baker hanging above the horizon...

This was not the view we had, but just to show how surreal Mount
Baker looks, suspended and dominating the scenery around it... It
is the third highest mountain in Washington State, just south of us :)

I know where that is! ;) I've been there, and will be again in about a week.. briefly, if the fires have abated enough to let me through...

Judging by that wonderful layer of high def smog I'd think it was los angeles, but we don't have a giant mountain like that... just a bunch of smaller mountains..

(its probably a bit north...where they make airplanes...)

I am envious of your views

I'd come visit y'all, but judging by how most of this forum views Europe, I probably wouldn't be allowed to enter the US :p
.... maybe I should sneak in somehow.... hmmm....

I'm thinking...

One flash of that mighty sword of yours...

And that's got to be as good as any green card.

Yesterday morning, at work, 8:05 am, the first phone call I received was from a frantic lady. She said ____ (one of our big name clients) killed her daughter and then killed himself the night before. Then she started hysterically balling.

I had no idea what to do. I empathized with her and then put her on hold and got her the general attorney in our office, and he helped her. But, she was right - one of our clients had killed his girlfriend (her daughter) and them himself. It's kind of a big ordeal around here. He was a very successful, big name man. The age difference between them was 40 years. He had a history of abuse at work and with previous women, and so many more details that make me sick, just all around messed up.

Anyway... the phone call really threw me for a huge loop. I have NEVER heard someone that upset, the pain in her voice... and I've never been told anything like that before firsthand. I worked at a non-profit organization after college and I heard atrocious stories of things that had happened, but always second hand, so hearing the pain myself... It broke my heart and I struggled the rest of the entire day. For lots of reasons, and I'm almost through it, but...talk about a sucky Monday.

Sounds eerily familiar to what happened right here in our town a couple nights ago...actually in a gated community right behind our house. His business was on E. Sunshine street...

Wow... praying for you, that you would know... and manifest... God's peace in your workplace. Also... may you be free from anxiety when the phone rings!

When you accidentally make a little typo on this one little word which changes your entire post's meaning and someone makes a comment on it before you could edit it out:
