WE WERE WARNED THAT IN THE LAST DAYS MANY FALSE TEACHERS WOULD COME.

IT IS JUST ANOTHER OF THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES.

Matthew 24:23-27 (HCSB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] “If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it!
[SUP]24 [/SUP] False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
[SUP]25 [/SUP] Take note: I have told you in advance.
[SUP]26 [/SUP] So if they tell you, ‘Look, He’s in the wilderness!’ don’t go out; ‘Look, He’s in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
[SUP]27 [/SUP] For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Matthew 7:15-16 (HCSB)

[SUP]15 [/SUP] “Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

2 Peter 3:3 (CSB)

[SUP]3 [/SUP] Above all, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days scoffing and following their own evil desires,

Jude 1:18 (HCSB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] they told you, “In the end time there will be scoffers walking according to their own ungodly desires.”

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (HCSB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.
[SUP]4 [/SUP] They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 (HCSB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] If anyone teaches other doctrine and does not agree with the sound teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching that promotes godliness,
[SUP]4 [/SUP] he is conceited, understanding nothing, but has a sick interest in disputes and arguments over words. From these come envy, quarreling, slander, evil suspicions,
[SUP]5 [/SUP] and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.

2 Peter 2:1-3 (HCSB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Many will follow their unrestrained ways, and the way of truth will be blasphemed because of them.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] They will exploit you in their greed with deceptive words. Their condemnation, ⌊pronounced⌋ long ago, is not idle, and their destruction does not sleep.

And then we have people like Ahtawhatshisname claiming that Peter speaking under inspiration should have stopped quoting Joel at 2:19 in this address because it don't fit in with his chips and dip "theology".

Act 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

Acts 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Well, he quotes it for a reason - Peter is saying he's living in the last days of the old covenant "world":

Luk 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh

Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Luk 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

It's more than likely that Jesus had the prophecy of Joel in mind in Luke 21:25

A possible scenario is that the GT begins with believers rounded up in to detention centers. Then the rapture taking place shortly afterwards.
Makes a good film, but zilch to do with scripture

Full preterists DO take Jesus at his words:

Luk 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Luk 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

Doesn't get any clearer than that, except when bogus "theologies" get their hands on the words.
Exactly. The whatatukee camp claims that they are the literalists.

LOOL.

It takes a very unbiblical mind to detach the main message of the Temple Prophecy, and cut and paste it into the future

Here's a clue.

There are 7 questions that are asked by the disciples to Jesus.

5 relate to the Temple and its immediate destruction; 2 relate to Jesus's return.

If you take the Temple Prophecy as about

5 parts relating to 1 AD and
2 parts relating to the endtimes, you won't go wrong.

AH, 5 and 2, miracle numbers also :)

It will be a miracle if the futurists start eating the bread of prophecy fulfilled.

The generation Jesus speaks of is a 70 year generation, which has been and always will be a standard generation. (40 years is a generation under judgment)

It runs from AD 26 - 96.

Creation was 3985 BC, so you can, if you can be bothered to get your fingers out your noses, work out how the generations run from 3895BC.

AD26 was when John started his ministry.

6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

see, AD 26 and Jesus brings up the new generation.

BY AD 96 all was fulfilled, and then Revelation is delivered to the next generation of Israel, the Church.

Anyway, when you learn to study and open your ears, you might get this stuff

What do you mean? Are you saying you believe everything that is supposed to happen happened already?
A great deal of it, yes. All things were restored at the end of the last earth age in 70 AD as Peter clearly teaches in Acts 3. There is little doubt that the presence (parousia) of Christ returned to reward the saints and punish the wicked of Israel. Since this happened after the Bible was fully written it is not recorded although it is revealed in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

So what year do you think Revelation was written?

1 John 2:19 (HCSB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 (NKJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

Matthew 24:22-27 (HCSB)
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Unless those days were limited, no one would survive. But those days will be limited because of the elect.
[SUP]23 [/SUP] “If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it!
[SUP]24 [/SUP] False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders
to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

2 Peter 3:3-4 (HCSB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] First, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days to scoff, living according to their own desires,
[SUP]4 [/SUP] saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? Ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation.”

Do you believe in the Biblical FLOOD?
All first century events proven to be history.

Within a few years, either way of AD 63. Definitely not AD 94.
no AD 96 and there are 3 biblical proofs of that.

It was also accepted by all the early church fathers, some of who knew John.

Pre AD 70 is rubbish. A modern hoax

All of these false teachers did indeed come after Christ in the first century especially as the destruction of Jerusalem neared as Josephus records. When you are given matching history of events shortly after (<40 years) from when Christ first warned of them, why do you look past it 2,000 years and await for an additional fulfillment?

A false prophet was the occasion of these people's destruction, who had made a public proclamation in the city that very day, that God commanded them to get upon the temple, and that there they should receive miraculous signs of their deliverance. Now there was then a great number of false prophets suborned by the tyrants to impose on the people, who denounced this to them, that they should wait for deliverance from God; and this was in order to keep them from deserting...

I'm sure they're pretty laid back.

Maybe they do zungu, but I can't find that in the bible, maybe there will be natural disasters that cut back the size of humanity.
