Reality

In the UK where the sun rises and sets is north of the mid point, which is never overhead.
This effect is only produced because the earth is round.

Go to the equator and it rises and sets relative to the mid point because the earth is round.
All the flat earth theories have no answer to this. End of story.

When any part of the sun has moved beyond the 'horizon' ( the "virtual limit" of our eyesight ) - we can no longer see it. As more of the sun moves beyond the 'horizon' - it appears to us to be "setting" -- and, when all of it has moved beyond the 'horizon' - it has set - it is gone from view.

What you just said goes against yourself. If it was round it would come up in the center nomatter where you are. If the sun was that far away if you were standing over here or over there would not make a difference. What you are saying that the sun comes up in different places only shows that where you stand depends on where it appears to be meaning it can not be so far away. Ok I did not dodge that so how about you tell me why if the earth is spinning at 3000 miles per hour, if we threw a ball up in the air it should land about 30 miles away. I ask all round earthers that and none can give me an answer.

And by the way in geometry a sphere and disc are the same thing, it just depends what dimension your mind is in on how it looks.

Give me the formula for their volumes. Are they the same? Nope.

They are topologically in the same equivalence class, but they are totally different forms, and both are three dimensional.

A circle in the other hand is only two dimensional, and while it is the projection onto a plane if a sphere from any angle, the projection of a disc is dependent on the angle - it may be a rectangle or any ellipsoid.

This is actually another proof that they aren't the same.

how about using a filter so you are observing the apparent size of the sun instead of of the size of the lens flare?

You cannot say what someone believes is lies; unless you can prove it is. You cannot. You are only going on what you've been taught all your life, and you are merely reacting out of shock to something that seems alien to your way of thinking, but it is very possible you are believing the lie, and we really live in a geocentric system.

I am not positive that is the case, but I respect flat earth believers for having to courage to stand up for what they believe. We have no right to judge them for what they believe is scientific. After all they are not with scientific observations. Both sides have good arguments. Personally, I am on the fence about it. I cannot prove them wrong; therefore, I will not foolishly judge them as being among people who spread lies.

I wanted to compare it to the flight map from the 40's I've been posting, and after rotating it 90 degrees it appears they are identical, minus the ice ring. I attached it to this post.

It looks like it was the template for your map, unless another map was used as the flight map's base.

God - looking straight down from His throne - and, seeing a 'circle' --- is sufficient enough to make it legitimate for the Flat Earth model.
