Actually, I did grade 12 algebra at 7 and my math is good....if you teach you can lose it then SOMETHING must be done to KEEP IT or EARN IT BACK.....regardless Ariel...that is a WORKS based salvation and PAUL covers this in GALATIANS
Not HARDLY...they are eternally tied together, there is but one gospel......not 2 or more
and you wonder why i called you hitler lolWie war Vorwurf für Sie
Vielleicht haben wir etwas gefunden, mit dem wir Spaß haben können?
I have had enough discussion to know that Peter doesn't believe that you have to have works to gain salvation.
He does believe folks can lose their salvation but I don't think it's due to not having works but he does say the lack of fruit is a warning sign.
Don't know what Stephen believes...I do know what he is against: easy believism.
The folks who I believe teach works salvation actually avoid this thread most of the time.
Sorry Dcon...but your math doesn't work.
The reason we are saved is because God has worked in our lives...,we are told that we will show signs in our lives that God has done these things.
However I am not ready to label anyone who doesn't understand the doctrine of eternal security as teaching works salvation.
It seems to conflate the two issues and confuses things.

You need to read some more.. Or else we are reading two different things.
for 1. Peter makes it clear. he does not think the cross is enough.. Well one must ask. If the cross 9work of God) is not enough. What must be added? but the works of men.
Ive said this a thousand times noe we are saved and can be saved until the end but our salvation hasnt been given yet only are saving are eternal life hasnt been declared until we meet our maker... but you can bet that it is a done deal for some but not everyone...
Only the ones who have been handed over to the son have eternal life as it stands but even them people havent been told that directly yet... which is your crown the one your suppose to hope for...
My points were valid.....a gospel that believe you can lose it result in salvation based upon what you do or don't do.....that is a works based false doctrine...no matter how it is sliced and diced.....
Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy.....you have much to learn grasshopper.
I see it this way.
1. You either have faith in God to complete what he started, and fulfill all his promises to you,
2. or you do not have faith God can do this, making yourself more powerful than God, one who can prevent God from doing what he PROMISED to do..
I agree.....Jesus said HE would FINISH what he started......if we can lose salvation then either Jesus is too weak or cannot keep his word....
For the record.....JESUS is GOD and WILL finish what he started and keep his promises........

amen,, how can we even begin to understand what "come to e and I will give you rest" means if we do not understand this basic theological concept of the gospel.
Its a no brainer.
Can anyone within themselves be like Jesus?
No
can anyone with Jesus in them become more like Jesus?
Yes
Hmm I wonder why?
Answers on a postcard please

ide rather be a grass hopper than a giantJimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy.....you have much to learn grasshopper.
And a hint.....exactly why ALL glory goes to GOD and God alone......
The funny thing (sic) is that NO one pays attention to the fact that we all say a believer will bear fruit or have at least 1 work which proves faith.......We both teach that and yet they accuse us of saying we do not have to do anything, live anyway we want, sin like the el diablo...the bible is clear...
SAVED unto works
NOT
SAVED by works
it is by faith and faith alone period.......
