Earth is Flat and Stationary

Mass is why, something has to have a certain amount of weight in order to be kept in the planetary rotation and held in place in that rotation. Now if the earth was indeed flat it would lack the amount of weight to be held in that position and would simply be pulled towards the thing that has the most gravitational pull aka the sun. This is why I don't care to research if the earth is flat, god knew what he was doing when he made this universe and set in a system of workings

Also on a flat earth people would be pulled toward the center because of gravity,but on a sphere no matter where you stand you have the same amount of sphere under you,so gravity goes downward causing us to stay upright,and not veering to the side.

Well, I don't know about all that, but when I drive through the mountains, I can see that the earth isn't flat.

Happened to me too on this and other chats. Don't worry the flat earth idea has already been incepted into this community. There is nothing else you could or should do. Read more gospel.
 
I'm still trying to understand the title.

Is the OP saying the earth is flat like stationary?
 
I'm still trying to figure out how I flew east from Atlanta, and arrived in Atlanta a few days later. My compass was always pointing to the east. I guess it must have to do with landing and taking off from airports. I would really like for some of you flat earthers to show me the math of my trip.

I once flew east from Newark and arrived back in Newark a few days later, and I stared intently at my compass the entire time, and as I landed and arrived and switched flights, my compass reacted and moved as if I was on the flat earth model. At that point I knew it was flat. Does this personal anecdote do anything for you?

I personally am glad to know that ALL the supposed proof of the Earth being a globe (oblate spheroid if we're being nit-picky), is just the work of "The Devil (tm)". This knowledge will simplify my hobby pursuits. I like to shoot long range, and quite often I find myself shooting in a direction, and at a distance, where I need to account for the Coriolis Effect in my ballistics calculations to properly dial in my scope to hit on target. I'm stoked to know that's all just that darned "Devil (tm)" playing jokes on me, and has no basis in science whatsoever. Now my only worry will be if the elephant (or turtle) that holds up the disc Earth has a shiver or shimmy and causes my shot to go off target.

*whew* What a relief.

If the Moon (according to flat-earthers) supposedly is at about 3000 miles altitude and traveling along the line of the equator...that would mean it would come within 3000 miles of Ecuador when passing directly over that country.

Meanwhile, the closest this Moon would ever get to Barrow, Alaska (a town way, way up on the northern shores of Alaska)...would be about 6400 miles.

That would mean Ecuadorians would have to see a Moon over twice the size of what they would see in Barrow.

That ain't happen'.

There is zero difference in the size of the moon. And exactly zero people have ever testified and/or noted there was a dramatically enlarged moon, in their travels to the equator, compared to what one sees at vastly increased distances anywhere on the planet (such as Barrow).

Game over for "flat earth".

Not only that -- take a look at that moon over Barrow. The flat-earth moon is allegedly only 30 miles in diameter. The moon you see in the photo is at LEAST 6,400 miles away. I know the camera has employed the "zoom" feature for this photo...nevertheless, looking at the Moon's diameter in this photo...is THAT what a miniscule 30 miles looks like from a distance of a full 6,400 miles plus? Give me a break. From that distance, a 30-mile diameter Moon would look not much larger than a large dot.

Game over.

Oh and another thing, we are told by flat-eathers that by the time the sun or the moon have traveled along their alleged travel path over the equator and have moved downrange 6000-7000 miles...they will have long since turned into a smaller and smaller dot and have "converged" with the horizon in an "optical illusion" sunset or moon-set. Oh really?

Then how would anyone in Barrow EVER see the Moon (OR the sun, for that matter)...other than possibly only as a dot right on the horizon...and only as the Moon traveled at it's absolute closest point...which is, as I have said (and done the math) right at 6,400 miles. In fact, according to flat-earth claims...Barrow citizens really would never see the sun or moon. BUT...there it is in the photo above...big as life.

Game over. Everyone go back to your business. Nothing to see here. (LOL)

Hummmmm....wonder why God doesn't shake us up every once in a while?

Maybe the earth is a big old snake worming its way through universe? Judging from all the hot tempered people on planet earth, I'd say it is a mean old Water Moccasin.

I see...anyone who doesn't agree with you is a Pharisee. Convenient for you. You can just automatically disregard anything a disagreeing party says and continue to espouse whatever point of view you want. In a way, you've figured out some twisted little way for you to always be "right", even if you are completely in error. Bravo.
