Scorpions don't fly, locusts fly.
Why don't you read the whole context before you type and make yourself look foolish? They are DEMONS with locust-like and scorpion-like features and characteristics. YOUR illogical LOGIC is what makes people misinterpret verses like:
Deuteronomy 4:24 (NRSV)
[SUP]
24 [/SUP] For the LORD your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.
Erroneously saying after reading that statement, "GOD IS A BLAST FURNACE."
READ the CONTEXT, and you will see you are ONLY arguing, just to keep the argument going,
and your comments have NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT IT MEANS BY WHAT IT SAYS.
Revelation 9:2-11 (HCSB)
[SUP]
2 [/SUP] He opened the shaft of the abyss, and smoke came up out of the shaft like smoke from a great furnace so that the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the shaft.
[SUP]
3 [/SUP] Then
locusts came out of the smoke on to the earth, and power was given to them
like the power that scorpions have on the earth.
[SUP]
4 [/SUP] They were told not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green plant, or any tree, but only people who do not have God’s seal on their foreheads.
[SUP]
5 [/SUP]
They were not permitted to kill them but were to torment ⌊them⌋ for five months; their torment
is like the torment caused by a scorpion when it strikes a man.
[SUP]
6 [/SUP] In those days people will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, but death will flee from them.
[SUP]
7 [/SUP]
The appearance of the locusts was like horses equipped for battle. Something like gold crowns was on their heads; their faces were like men’s faces;
[SUP]
8 [/SUP]
they had hair like women’s hair;
their teeth were like lions’ teeth;
[SUP]
9 [/SUP] they had chests like iron breastplates; the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses rushing into battle;
[SUP]
10 [/SUP] and they had tails with stingers like scorpions, so that with their tails they had the power to harm people for five months.
[SUP]
11 [/SUP] They had as their king
the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he has the name
Apollyon.
Ephesians 6:11-18 (HCSB)
[SUP]
11 [/SUP] Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.
[SUP]
12 [/SUP] For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
[SUP]
13 [/SUP] This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.
[SUP]
14 [/SUP] Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest,
[SUP]
15 [/SUP] and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.
[SUP]
16 [/SUP] In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
[SUP]
17 [/SUP] Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word.
[SUP]
18 [/SUP] Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
That image may come close to the kind of demons John was seeing in his vision.
