I don't think I've ever heard the phrase "a cloak for sin". Does that mean to cover? If so...it would be true wouldn't it Ariel?

It's a strawmen some people like to use to label folks and claim their opponents teach people it's okay to sin. Its a lie.
No one in this thread teaches that folks are okay in their sins.
We all say God will help His children overcome their sins and His blood forgives sins...not that we encourage or tell people they should sin all they like.
It's a misunderstood phrase used to falsely accuse people.
Used mostly by people who don't understand the Gospel message of grace and want to add works to earn or keep their salvation.
its a good job God knows what he is doing.
Even if I don't get it I can only trust in him doing what he is doing.

The problem here is about prejudging arguments and logic.
It is like saying a vegetarian is one because they hate killing animals.
Until you talk to them you do not know.
Now I have had conversations with people who say sin is something they live with
everyday and come out with examples of things that could easily be resolved, yet
they neither express the desire to resolve them or see a need.
That is by its nature abiding in sin.
When the question of walking righteously is raised it becomes sinless perfection.
Now this is just propoganda and denial of the true heart and the true motives.
If I am commited to run a marathon but do not even run 1 mile, I am not being
honest. People will lie, cheat, deny, hide, obscure about things they love, just like
an alcoholic when challenged about their level of drinking. You are either a sober
alcoholic or you have not stopped. There is is no halfway house.
With sin you are either commited to walk in righteousness or you are compromised.
Now when people talk about lying so quickly, one has to be very careful. This is a
high stakes game and sin and pride are the hardest thing in our lives to break.
And worse still our hearts will deceive us, and paint us as ok, even when our behaviour
says something very different.
There are only those fighting the fight and those who are not.
Do you hunger and thirst for righteousness, then you have grasped God and Christ.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Matt 6:33
Please listen. The first step is - seeking, not arriving. You will never arrive if you do not seek.
And those who attack seekers are 100% not interested in arriving.
Walking with Christ is walking in His holiness, purity and love. Now if this makes you feel sick
and ill, nerdy, soppy, wimpish, something you would never do, I have to ask you, do you know
Christ and the cross. I do not mean in it in a judgemental way, but in an honest way, this is our
God. Have you ever loved another sacrificially and walked in their shoes?
Many claim the name of Jesus, yet have not begun to know the Lord.
Beginning this walk is starting to know where you are, and then finding where you want to
get to. Sometimes walking away is walking towards Jesus, because you have to find yourself
before you can find reality.
Each ones walk is different, and the same arguments are put forward for widely different
reasons. It is why it often gets confusing. It is why patience and waiting to know people
makes a big difference. And there are some wonderful, gifted people here, who bless and
encourage others. I would hope I can help encourage them on in Christ and they me.

Its you and your team that say we can lose our salvation for not believing In Jesus and or crediting works to satan.. one thing wrong with this statement of yours is doesnt everyone do that befor they get saved ?..........salvation comes at Judgment day.. being saved comes the minute the father decides your ready to recieve his son..

I go to meet a friend. He tells me he just murdered his family.
I say, thats ok, we all do it all the time.
Now am I saying murder is ok and I am happy with it, or it is horrible
you need to go to the police, confess you sin, and take whats coming?
No if I do not do everything to get them to resolve it themselves or
report them to the authorities I am approving of their actions and in some
countries would be regarded as complicit to murder.
So some are so so so so so lax with sin and evil, it is just something you talk
about with your mates, have a laugh and carry on with the day.
So doing things that send you to hell, for eternal torture and damnation should
be just ignored and laughed through? This is not taking sin lightly or being
disrespectful before the Lord and grieving Him?
Am I talking to believers or the lost, because I thought I was with people who
know the cross, conviction of sin and have repented of their sins, with a
commitment to walk like Christ. But maybe this is a different group, and I
got the threads mixed up.
And even worse with believers who claim I am going to hell for daring to
suggest we can walk like Jesus and that is why He died. Eye openning.

Yup and not only that him and his team also agree that there future sins will be forgiven. Because once saved always saved no matter what they do is there reality..
To even preach or say that your future sins will be forgiven is taking the cross one step to far..
Jesus did not come to this earth to beat sin and beat the devil just so we could carry on in sin.. Noo he doesnt want us to sin at all he wants us to sin no more...

I disagree with part of your post. Salvation comes when you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Christ died for ALL sin. That includes future sin. He knows we will slip up and sin from time to time.. So I don't get why you say that's taking the cross a step too far. 
i spoke to work colleauge today on the phone we where joikng about and i asked him are you a saint coz he mentioned something about God.
he just laughed and said im a sinner.. that was it without so much batting an eyelid.. well i thought at least your honest..
unlike some in this thread who can do no wrong and dont repent.
