Thank youI have not read the whole thread
I just jumped in
Please excuse me for doing so, I just love you so much I wanted to say hello
Wait a minute. We are to seek Him? So, anyone who seeks Him will be saved? I thought you said there were those other poor slobs (not us, of course) who were born to burn?
So, they just THINK God is calling them?

No one is dragging you through the mud man. You have misrepresented me and made snide remarks to p4t and now you are playing victim. And the worst of all, you post an article from an open theist and try and pass it off as truth. Not even Arminians agree with open theism because it's so obviously heretical.
Sorry. I probably answered the wrong post. Some of your nicknames sound so much alike that it is easy to confuse who is for and who is against, if it is not made real clear by starting each of your posts either in agreement or disagreement.hey, Willie
yes, all who call upon the Name of the Lord will be saved. i wholeheartedly believe that.
i'm not sure where i said that.
i don't see a dichotomy in God's sovereign election and anyone who comes to Him in repentance and faith being saved.
i know we have theological differences. in my opinion, this thread is a bit of a train wreck.
this young woman is seeking help. not sure the family squabbles are giving it to her.
So how do you account for the free will of the 1/3 of the angels exercised, that fell with Satan?
It has been lovely seeing you back againLol. ThanksI prolly need a break actually. Getting exhausted and I am prolly being a bit snappy and misunderstanding people at this point.

1. You misunderstand irresistible grace? When God slathers the grace onto us after redeeming us, it is irresistible. He doesn't slather it on all. When he forgives, we don't go, "oh, that's nice, but excuse me. I was doing something and want to get back to it." We're blown away. Suddenly we see all the sin we've done in our lives and how much that hurt the very one forgiving us. We repent. We then want to do what he wants us to do. No holds bar! THAT is the irresistible grace. Is there a resistible grace after he redeems us? Can we truly go, "Ho-hum?"Lynn you know how I feel about you. I am not a liar and I dont not appreciate you making that accusation.I would never, ever say such a thing about you. That grieves my spirit deeply sister.
Please answer the following verses...
No.I do not believe in irresistible grace. God is not a dictator. God is not Allah. We choose to accept the free gift.
Pr. 11 says "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."
Why try to win souls if God already elected who will be saved?
2 Peter 3 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[a] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
What does long suffering mean? If He already elected who will be saved why does He need to be long suffering? Its already in the bag,the job is done.
Timothy 2 "... it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,4who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
No purpose to this verse whatsoever. Tear it out,its a lie.He already chose who would be saved so He doesn't desire all to be saved. This verse is a big fat lie.
John 3 "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Crystal clear, he who believes is saved,he who does not is not saved.
1 John 2 "And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world."
1 Tim.2 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all
John 3 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
Hebrews 2 "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
John 3 16 that we learn in Sunday school says "for God so loved that He gave His only Son that whosoever believeth . Choice,he that believes will be saved. The Bible is clear.
Is.53 "All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
We have all gone astray and He paid for all our sins. Why did Jesus have to shed His blood?! He died in vein. The elect will be saved so why did He have to be maimed? No,the Bible does not teach this doctrine, period.
Yeah only the elect will be saved, that's what scripture teaches. So your one of those people who believe only the elect will be saved.
Hello Ellie, and good morninghey, Willie

Yea i missed that part, i only caught the countless times it said "everyone and all". Btw "Whosoever" doesn't mean only a group of people just sayingYeah only the elect will be saved, that's what scripture teaches.
Why would you put $1 million in someone's bank account if they aren't using it?If I put a million $ in a bank account for you, and you refuse to ever acknowledge that money is waiting for you to spend..... does that mean I didn't put it there for you? No, it means you just thumbed your nose at the financial loss I incurred for your benefit. I still lost the money. And it was done for you, not for me.
Acts 2:21 (NASB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] 'AND IT SHALL BE THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'
It has been lovely seeing you back againBut it is true, we are affected by the interactions here, sometimes to the point where it seems, wow, this is the true test, how am I loving those who make me their enemy? I would like to be on good terms with all, but it does not really seem possible. Thank God for Jesus Christ, Who took our iniquities upon Himself, and paid the price for sin, that through faith in His propitiatory sacrifice upon the cross, and the shedding of His righteous blood to pay the sin debt, we may attain to a life more abundant.
As to God's will, I usually break it down into three modes: sovereign, moral, and permissive. Him allowing things to happen does not mean He is causing all things to happen. I think that is one of the places where my view may differ with some others
You know what helps? Read Romans. All of Romans without worrying about chapters and verses. Originally it had no chapter and verses. It's one letter explaining the treatise that is Christianity. It builds, point upon point, but not chapter by chapter, because the chapters and verses were arbitrary decisions made somewhere along the line. (Probably so we can refer to a verse and everyone else can get to it without wading through a long letter. lol)
But read it in full. Even Romans 8 and 9 by themselves is taken out of context. And, because it's hard to keep all those points in mind at once, if you read it all the way through for a month, by the end of the month you get it in its fullness. You'll get more than your original question.
