We aren't angels for one. Nothing has been revealed about their will, just ours. And God has concluded that ours is in bondage to sin. It's all over the bible.

It has been lovely seeing you back again But it is true, we are affected by the interactions here, sometimes to the point where it seems, wow, this is the true test, how am I loving those who make me their enemy? I would like to be on good terms with all, but it does not really seem possible. Thank God for Jesus Christ, Who took our iniquities upon Himself, and paid the price for sin, that through faith in His propitiatory sacrifice upon the cross, and the shedding of His righteous blood to pay the sin debt, we may attain to a life more abundant.

As to God's will, I usually break it down into three modes: sovereign, moral, and permissive. Him allowing things to happen does not mean He is causing all things to happen. I think that is one of the places where my view may differ with some others

Why try to win souls if God already elected who will be saved?

What does long suffering mean? If He already elected who will be saved why does He need to be long suffering? Its already in the bag,the job is done.

When he forgives, we don't go, "oh, that's nice, but excuse me. I was doing something and want to get back to it." We're blown away. THAT is the irresistible grace. Is there a resistible grace after he redeems us? Can we truly go, "Ho-hum?"

The rest of your verses are there, ripped out of content to say what you want them to say, instead of what they do say in like fashion. And like I've told you multiple times why we evangelize, I have shown John 3 in context even more often, and yet you keep ripping out one part of something Jesus said while ignoring the rest.

Thanks for the kind words and it's been great seeing all of your inspiring pictures and posts since I've been back.

And just so I can be clear, I don't think God causes everything, for instance making man sin. I don't think we are puppets. Mine is the second post on this thread and I made that clear. Been accused, by people like Mr. Willie here, and of course others, all throughout the thread though. Getting a bit irritating

You know what helps? Read Romans. All of Romans without worrying about chapters and verses. Originally it had no chapter and verses. It's one letter explaining the treatise that is Christianity. It builds, point upon point, but not chapter by chapter, because the chapters and verses were arbitrary decisions made somewhere along the line. (Probably so we can refer to a verse and everyone else can get to it without wading through a long letter. lol)

But read it in full. Even Romans 8 and 9 by themselves is taken out of context. And, because it's hard to keep all those points in mind at once, if you read it all the way through for a month, by the end of the month you get it in its fullness. You'll get more than your original question.

If you ever really read Romans the way you instruct us here, you personally, could never come up with what you are saying is truth and what others say is in error.
