Bill I agree with an adversary but that adversary is your own lower nature and not a different conscious being with wings or horns. I thought that belief has been discredited just like that of santa. Who did God tell about the creation of angels and the devil? Still no one can answer it yet there are many who just feel comfortable dwelling in their old way of thoughts.

As believers are old nature/self has been been crucified with Christ and we are partakers in the nature of God

God created Lucifer, all the angels, and every person and thing on earth. If you'd actually READ your bible it talks about what Lucifer looked like before he fell, and what it looked like as he fell from heaven..

God knows the future, right?

Also, there are Christians who don't believe satan exists.
There are Christians who don't believe hell exists.
There are Christians who believe everyone will be saved. (Universalism)
There are Christians who believe a person will go to hell but only for an instant and then disappear. (Annihalism)

These are mistakes, for sure. But we cannot say that these people are not Christian or born again.

All one needs to be a Christian is:

Belief in the Trinity
That Jesus is the Christ
And the Son of God
That He died for our sins
That He was resurrected

That's it.

Look....I think many things get said by ALL...it seems there are some that can make mouthy, snide remarks in a subtle way and then get easily offended when one responds openly and points out said snide remarks....the thing is...I can deal with anyone and everyone disagreeing, but when they start implying, embellishing and or twisting what I say to make me say or imply something I did not even get close to saying or implying it fires me up.....partial quotes, misquotes etc...are the norm from most who teach a works based salvation....so....a sure sign of spiritual maturity is to not be easily offended...and in all my time on here, all the heat I have taken from those who disagree with me or say things I have never said....there is only ONE I have blocked.....

Amen, This is the issue, they slander,, then they get upset when we call then out for it., And try to blame shift. Then people come and say it is just a misunderstanding.

WHY did Jesus have to die if even people in the Old Testament were saved by FAITH.

The exact same way you were saved.,,. The only difference was they had to wait for salvation to be completed. Where our salvation is already complete.

The old testament saints looked forward to the promise of the cross and we look backwards to the fulfillme,t of what Jesus did upon the cross.

Without His death,, ressurcetion and ascension into Heaven. There would be no remission of sins because the blood would not have been placed upon the Heavenly altar.

Why do you believe Jesus had to die on the cross?

In regards to salvation, I have a question for anyone who would like to answer:

If you were standing at the gates of heaven right now and the Lord Jesus Christ asked you why He should let you into heaven, what would be your EXACT answer? This is not a trick question. The answer to this question demonstrates what people are trusting in for salvation.

Because you loved me so much you died upon the cross so I could spend eternity with you.
