I pass the time watching TV and reading but I get so bored sometimes. What do you do?
 
I'm a mother of two, and if you add my hubby, I've got three kids in the house:p, so I don't have that much idle time on my hands. But, whenever I do, I enjoy listening to music, and I love reading.
 
I play a video game, fiddle with a soundtrack, catch up on the forum. There are other minor things I might do with my time but those are the main three for me. Occasionally I'll hang out in a christian chatroom.
 
aside from job, i usually use it to watch korean drama :p, spending lot on YouTube for baking tutorial and fb group (baking and soaping) to look for some inspiration of what people make :p
Then!!! of course i ended up having huge list of what to do for experiment.. and my list getting bigger each day T_T
and of course taking care of my 5 miaw miaw :D
 
I have 3 weeks off from work... and now I am so bored! I am spending half of my day here :D yayyy! But usually if it is my regular day...I work,eat,pray,read(bible)chat,exercise :-) got no time to be bored :D

I read books or if I get the disposable income, I tinker with a little project now and again.

I do an online bible study. It takes an hour of study each day so I like that I'm busy learning God's word. I usually do 2 at a time.

I really don't enjoy watching very much tv. We have netflix only and have purchased some dvd's, but I'd rather go and walk the mall with friends or visit over tea or coffee at B&N than sit and watch tv.

When the arthritis allows, I crochet. I love crocheting doilies. Other things too like a dish cloth and towel set, afghan, amigurumi, etc.

You can go to Voice Of The Matyrs website and write letters to the persecuted church. Volunteer at church, the hospital or soup kitchen? Volunteer at your local prolife organization? Gospel Rescue Mission?
 
I enjoy some video games here and there. I listen to alot of music. I play music and write songs of my own. Lately Ive been trying out writing lyrics, Im not very confident at it though : p Words have never been a strong point of mine. I like talking to friends online, and I enjoy finding forums based on things that I enjoy or feel are important. And I like watching random youtube videos, pretty much anything that catches my interest, Ill watch it : p

I dont watch much tv, mostly because I dont have cable and the only way to watch netflix or hulu in my house is to use the tv in the family room, but someone else always has it and I never get to watch anything : p Oh but I have been watching the Walking Dead lately, we watch it every monday. Ive been enjoying that show despite the fact that I really zombies : /
 
Chat with some friends.... sneak a nap in when I can.... late at night I watch lottery dream home or househunters or other shows about beautiful homes ... or cooking shows. Bleh... I'm boring aren't I ?
 
So many great ideas, thank you all so much. I realize it may sound odd that I get bored and some people maybe can't possibly imagine why I would be. Well, I am single, my grown son is away from home now and I don't have family other than him and just a few friends. So as you can see, there aren't alot distractions in my life. Please keep the ideas coming, I really do appreciate it.

No you aren't boring. I can relate to not having much to do.
 
I pretty much read,play video games and come here this is my only contact with the outside world and it's pretty helpful...usually.

They have app's that are classified as games but many are not really games have you tried any of those? There are trivia,educational amongst other types they even have some for cats!LOL I didn't even know that app's were so wide ranging and most are free except for the data it costs to download them.

Maybe try things that you've never considered in your whole life I use to be the type of punk kid that was too busy to read too cool to play video games to good looking to excersise now beng enlightened by life I can't get enough of any of those but I cant really excersise anymore because of circumstance.

Thank you for the ideas. I have tried a few apps and that does help sometimes.


Exercise is really good for me. I am trying to be consistent with it again. It does make me feel good afterwards.


Sorry you aren't able to exercise anymore.

I wake up in the morning, go to work, come home to make dinner and clean up to go to sleep and get up to do it all over again. I love my life tho and wouldnt have it any other way :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. What Bible study are you doing? An hour long Bible study much be just what I need.

Sounds like not much time left for anything else but you seem content and that is great!!
 
higrace if you're that bored, you can start making soundtracks in a computer. All you really need is a digital audio workstation and some virtual instruments, all of which are free. Assuming you already have a computer, all it will cost you is time to learn how to use it.

Of course that is if you're into music. Some people aren't that into music. (I don't understand how anybody could not be really into music, but...)
