Matthew 7:15-17 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

[SUP]16 [/SUP]"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?

[SUP]17 [/SUP]"So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.

To be accurate Jesus was talking about how to identify false prophets. False prophets are those that "seem to mimic " the words of the Lord but these words are not true. What kind of fruit does these words bring in a person's life?

When a supposed preacher comes with words saying anything that is contrary to what Christ has done by His finished work on the cross and resurrection - what does this bring in a person's life? What is the fruit of their words?

Does it bring arrogance and abusive behavior, malice and the slandering of others? Does it insult others and de-mean them? Does it try to "lord it over your faith?" by their superior knowledge and human scholarship? Does it bring condemnation to others? This is the fruit of a false prophet in the midst.
Abusive language - like calling people heretic hunters, works salvationists, legalists, & when they disagree with you, you say their words are abusive, full of malice, & they slander others.

Superior knowledge & scholarship - there's several people on here that have these, much more than myself, but they don't flaunt it. It's not a sin, but a blessing to have folks that know their Bible & will correct the unruly.

Does it bring condemnation to others? No, these people are called on the carpet to prove what they believe, & when caught, they will cry crocodile tears & complain about being abused. In other words, they turn the tables on you & blame you for everything.

It's not the fruit of a false prophet, it's the exposing of one.

All G777 has done so far is play mind games with the innocent & justify himself.

Your "in your face" false teaching is not what this thread is about. You are easy to discern.

That's how they treat you when you disagree with them. They instantly label you & proceed to destroy your rep without facts.

Remember Dragnet? "Just the facts, sir, just the facts".

It is imperative for us believers in the grace of God in Christ to guard our hearts.

Hebrews 12:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;

Seriously. Look in the mirror. The christian way of life is contentedness, even if we think we have been wronged. Your obsession and hate with my brother Bruce is getting old. And I ain't the only one who thinks it.

I almost hate calling you out on it. Because you look more and more foolish everyday. And your soap box gets smaller and smaller each time you act so foolishly.

Is that what you think? That I hate him?

I don't hate him..... I know he's not the guy he portraying. Look again at this post:

Does the fruit of these false prophets "words" produce this fruit in us? Does it bring us to respond to the love of our good, good Father and Lord towards us?

[video=youtube;NjEYtaD-Ywg]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjEYtaD-Ywg[/video]

Or does it bring forth the fruit of name-calling and abusive behavior because you don't agree with their "doctrine"?

We will know them by the fruit of their words.
Someone pleeeze tell me why G777 would go to a quite bad, secular website to copy & paste the words above?

The site he copied this from is https://bullsh**politician.wordpress.com/2014/04/21/pap-and-the-art-of-name-calling/

BTW, the 2 ** are replacing the real letters in the site name.

Why would a committed christian even be on a site like that?

I don't appreciate your foul language, wsblind. This shows your blatant disregard & disrespect for CC & members of this site.

As for Bruce..... it's an expose', & well deserved.

Eph 5:6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light 9(for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; 12for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.

See the large writing in His post? It's a jpg.

Hover your cursor over it, and you'll see the cursor change to a pointing hand. Double-click on it, and it will take you to the original site.

Incidentally, the site is about Sinaporeans. Why go to a bad, secular site about people from Singapore?

Could it be because Joseph Prince lives there?

The word sockpuppet comes to mind.....

This is where I stand. It's going to be their DOCTRINES(fruit) that we can discern the false teachers. Not judging their salvation or their eternal life. But their beliefs or doctrines and whether we stay away or go with them.

IMO, some are so slick and have the christian vocabulary down to a tee, have amazing self control and can ACT the part so well.......that only the mind of Christ can discern them. Our experience, intuition, feelings and our ability to "read" people will and can let us down.

Again, this not judging whether they are saved or not. It's discerning whether I RUN or stick around them.
I can see that...it does talk about false teachers, so I see how you are seeing it.
But I see people even in here who I think are false teachers because they speak but do not do what they say and are instead very argumentative, devour with their words because they then get angry that you don't agree, etc.

They are false teachers in the sense that they do not themselves do what they say. In a sense, a false teacher to me could be one who has a Jesus bumpersticker but who harasses a car for 10 miles because they got cut off. They are a false teacher because they say follow Jesus and then don't do it. And I know nothing about their doctrine, but I plainly see they are false teachers.

But as G7 said, this is why judging others is a serious matter, because they might be new and just don't have their flesh under yet, by the Spirit.

You can have very perfect doctrine sometimes by what men taught you and yet not know Jesus and not have the Holy Spirit.
I've met men with pretty sound doctrine who are very arrogant. I would not look at their doctrine and say they are not false teachers while looking at another man who might have some doctrines that I don't agree with yet he has learned humility through the obedience of faith and the Spirit in him, and say he was a false teacher. I might rather call him a living epistle to others.

I understand what you say and how you get there, but I don't think you can judge a man by his doctrines and this is judging by the outside, as men are wont to do, instead of judging by the inside as God does.

Guess I'm saying...it's not that simple exactly. (Doctrine = fruit.)

A good false teacher has learned not to be argumentative, devour us with their words, they do what they say and have learned to temper their anger. They have learned how to ACT like sheep or angels of light.

So the ONLY thing that protects us is His mind, his Grace and knowledge. We, on our own, can't discern them through our senses or experience.

There are false teachers training and perfecting their craft on this very forum and in your church. The same as my church.

And again. This is not judging someones salvation. Many believers are led astray. But they have salvation.

I think it's a testimony of the state of believers that I am pressed to say I am not judging their salvation, I am judging their doctrines.

Everybody is STUCK on salvation, so everything is about salvation.

I don't think that's our only protection. A verse says we discern good from evil through practice. Do you know the one I'm speaking of?

Expose' s aren't pretty. If someone lives an ugly life, the truth about them will be ugly also.

You can wash a pig, spray deodorant & perfume on it, & dress it up in lace..... in the end it's still a pig.

What I've written is true. I called no names, nor have I written with malice towards him.

Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts.
