You said he should show patience, He asked you what patience had to do with it You said maybe one day it would be revealed (to most people. they would think you meant the truth about patience) so he asked you to show him the truth, and then you said he lied.
Who is the one trying to cause discord here??

Now dear reader, have you read one lie that is a lie that this brother is claiming is
being spoken.
Now if there are no lies or even one lie, the speaker himself is the liar.
But if he is a liar, how can he be walking with the truth and the Lord of all truth?
I know, he believes because all the sin he commits now is forgiven as he commits it,
so righteousness does not matter.
The real problem is, sin does matter to Christ, here and now, and if you accuse anyone of
lying you have to show what it is, or you are a liar yourself.
Where in scripture does it say, confront liars, but do not tell them what the lie is, just slander
them?
Now as believers here witnessing this continual dripping of slander and defamation, condemnation
and rebuke without foundation, how can this be the Holy Spirit talking?
And if this is not the Holy Spirit talking, what else does this font of knowledge bring forth?
All we share we share only on the basis of the work Christ has done in our hearts.
So let us uplift and congratulate people for their faith in Christ and glory to His name.
It is this spirit that the Holy Spirit brings, to bring glory to His work, His love, His
righteousness and grace, Amen.
And if anyone bring praise to the Lord, amen.
My friend, please do not be discouraged by these hard hearted people who
wish only to push their own agendas and label everyone not like them enemy
to be confronted and opposed.
This is not the way of the Lord or with His blessing.
May the Lord bring love and blessing to your heart, and uplift you in a time
of trouble, In Jesus's Name, Amen.
see, here we go- a person apologized , and peter did not like it. this person , who talks about heart all the time, has no problem calling ( wrongly ) people heretics, accusing folks of blasphemy, asking questions and attacking people who answer the question, because he does not like the answer, etc..... and refusing to apologize , and then calls some of us hard-hearted.
someone really needs to take a hard look at themselves.
it is a very Godly trait to apologize when one does wrong. it is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength, and having a desire to right wrongs.

it would not be so bad if he were not so close.. As so many people the last few months have said.. I think that is the reason some push him harder. because they see the good which could come of the light went on..
This is an odd attack. Here is gb9 slandering me, raising all kinds of accusations,
when I am being encouraging to another brother.
So I am not supposed to encourage people or see someone in need and respond to that need.
And I always apologise for things I know about, but cannot apologise for things I either do not
know or do not agree with.
And there are heretical beliefs, one of which is future sin forgiven.
Now I have come to understand more clearly why I take this view and can
explain it. I have good reason to call it a heresy, because logically it leads
to lawlessness and corruption of the faith. But ofcourse those who think
this is perfectly fine, hate me saying this or declaring it openly, like gb9.
But thankyou gb9 for bringing this up again.
Future sin forgiven is unbelief that in the cross we do not have forgiveness
and grace to deal with sin once we are made clean pure and holy.
But then these believers never accept they were ever clean, pure or holy.
And that is a fundamental denial of the work of the cross or a spiritual reality
of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in a Holy temple. How on earth or in heaven
would the Holy Spirit dwell in a impure temple. Pauls whole argument is we
are a pure temple.
But then from this group often teachers say they can be possessed by evil
spirits at the same time as being baptised in the Holy Spirit. It is a theology
at war with itself, saying the Holy Spirit does not cast out all before it.
This kind of belief system is more superstition than victory through the cross,
as typified emotions and the heart are not involved in knowing Christ and being
saved. Talk about the blind leading the blind. At this rate you get married because
you fancy a bit of sex, but love has nothing to do with it.
I agree. He seems like a very sweet person. I think he means well. I like metaphors and I kind of look at it like this.
I am a guitar player, and have been for 30 plus years. And a pretty good one....I could entertain myself for hours. Lol. About 10 years ago a guy told me that while I was a good player my tone SUCKED. It wasn't pleasing to other peoples ears....it didn't sit well in a band mix. It really hurt but it was the truth.
It was then that I "turned my ears on" and started searching for the tone ALL the pros have. It literally took me ten years to get there....and I am STILL refining and bettering my "tone". Peter needs to "turn on his ears".
