I'm wearing 4-inch pumps tomorrow for Valentine's Day. They go with my outfit (a mixture of pink and black.... pink to be festive for the holiday, and black for being in denial, ha) and I've never worn them out of the house. I'm not a heels person but I got them on sale for $5 years ago and kind of just strut around in them in my house for a few minutes at a time, but have never ventured outside.

Tomorrow is the day. I don't walk a lot at my job but I am going to bring a pair of black flats as a backup. I feel like since I've started dancing my balance has improved but at the same time I am...not the most graceful. Also, I dance in bare feet so there's a big difference between that and being on what feels like stilts.

Lord willing I will post an update tomorrow on if i made it through the day :P

Something else about heels is that it makes driving a manual very weird.

That's really cool Zero! How's the new business coming along?

Thank, Jen. It's been raining so often here that I haven't really had a chance to start, plus one of my customers is out of town and another is moving so I can't do her car til next month. I've done 5 vehicles for family already though, but 2 are mine and I didn't charge for the other three. It was a good mix though... 1 convertible sports car, 1 mid-size car, 1-econo car, 1 small suv and 1 large, expensive suv. :)

This past Friday I ended up at the after-hours pediatrician with my kids. My daughter, Marley, was sick with a sore throat and fever. Saturday night my son, Matthew, starts to get sick. By Monday evening I decided to visit the the after-hours pediatrician again and I found out he has the flu. We got home around 9:00 pm and 15 minutes later my 2 year old son slams the door on his sisters index finger and I end up rushing to the ER fearing it was broken. Thank God it wasn't. It was just banged up a bit. Ended up getting home at 2 am. When will the doctor's visits subside? It feels like I'm always there. / sigh

Oh my! Thank God it wasn't broken. That may have been a little miracle that it wasn't. You sure have a ton of stuff to deal with. I will pray for you and your family. God bless.

Assuming you already thought of this zero...but do you use craigslist to advertise?

I did a mural in my bedroom a couple weeks ago, I painted the rest of my room yesterday, I'll be doing another mural this weekend in the guest room and at some point paint the fireplace and paint canvases for decorations in my other rooms, etc.

I asked my mom what will happen when I run out of projects. She said, "As a homeowner...you won't."

I am not sure if this comforts me or not. :P

pics, please!

Also, I need to go back to school and figure out what to do with my life...

I have no idea. I'm at a loss. Praying God will show me cause I've got nothin'.
You've had 30 years to do what you like. Out of all that, which tasks give you pleasure and which don't? (Not just don't give you pleasure, stuff you absolutely hate to do. For me that's cleaning the toilet. lol) What were you good at?

Now, who do you want to help? Are you someone who likes to help kids, middle-aged people, old people? Do you like helping sick people, animals, plants? What makes your heart sing, when you're helping in some small way?

And what do you do for hobbies? Or what areas do you like to study? (I like studying marketing, SEO stuff, and how to write fiction.)

What does all that tell you? What you'd be good at doing and what you'd be bad at doing. It gives you 30 years of insight into who you really are to cut down to the big question in life, "What do I want to be?" Don't think it requires a degree. It might. It might not. Sometimes it requires a mentor. One of my favorite jobs was office manager/salesperson/copywriter for an ad agency. He taught me how to write ads, in exchange for me getting him more customers. And, he paid me for it.

If possible pick the skills you already developed, (and you have developed skills even if you've never been paid for them), and go from there. A degree is often optional.

Currently I am snuggled up to a heating pad and a box of kleenex while I force my child to write valentine day cards to his classmates.

Can my life be any more romantic???

Now that I sort of have money to spend, I find myself wanting to buy all kinds of junk I don't need. Right now big soft blanket to snuggle up in (hey single on V-day, blankets are all I have to snuggle up with) and maybe that nice looking big insulated tea mug at the store as well. Oh and I broke another bowl today so maybe some pretty dishes. And..... and.....and.. So far the self control is holding, but mostly because I think everything is far too expensive.

Odd, I can't think of anything I want. I came up here to east TN to visit Mom and I had just about what I needed for gas for the trip. She seems to feel she has to give me $300 for coming up here. When I objected to her subsidizing my vacation she said, "Don't spoil it by arguing, just accept it." But the only thing I can think of to do with the money is hold it to pay some future bills.

What? I already have all I need and almost all I want. Maybe I just have no imagination...

Thank you Zero. I appreciate the prayers. I really need them.
