Amen! Without faith it's impossible to please God so those who are not living by faith in Jesus Christ are not being obedient no matter how much "so-called" obedience that they attempt to conjure up through the flesh in a vain effort to receive salvation by works.
Why does security become a spiritual weapon?

Why is IN-security so important to those on the other side of the fence? How does joy, love and peace go hand in hand with fear and bondage to IN-security?
Who is exploding in anger and such antagonism? I am as cool as a cucumber.
I am not in fear or bondage, in fact the opposite. I walk because I love and I know I am loved
because of the cross.
I have free will to express this love, and the love I have empowers my walk.
But my question really is about having an open heart. Do you know what I mean?
Could have fooled me.
Faith works through love (Galatians 5:6) and perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18).

Plenteous in number will be the amount of people who boast, brag and push their works based salvation...only to find out they were wrong...JESUS saves based upon acknowledging him in faith....your works will not help you get saved, keep you saved or embellish salvation......you cannot add to what Christ has done on your behalf......good luck with your working for dogma....and good luck with boasting on your works in the day of judgment.......MANY will say.....LORD, LORD have we not done many wonderful works in your name......workers of iniquity....why....like the thief they attempted to enter by another door.....their works.......!

How can we forgive from the heart if Christ does not dwell there?
How can we love our enemies unless we have been in their shoes?
Are we how we appear or who we are inside?
Those who follow Christ will know the answer for upon this the Kingdom is built.

Get born-again and Christ dwells in our hearts.
Remember we are not new evolutions. We are new creations.
Learn to walk by who you really are - by the spirit where we are joined as one with the Lord - created in righteousness and holiness and we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh to do it's desires.
If we are continually looking for evil in our hearts - then we have no concept of the new creation in Christ. We are in fact to live from our new hearts in Christ so that we don't walk by the flesh.
If we are trying to "change our hearts" we have missed the whole gospel message of what Christ has already done for us at the cross and resurrection. We died with Him and rose with Him to newness of life.
Get this wrong and we will be continually be trying to achieve what Christ has already done in us. There is a walking out of this as our minds get renewed to the truths of who we really are now in Christ - joined as one spirit with Him forever.
Religion always gets the gospel and walking by the spirit backwards and tries to achieve what has already been done by Christ alone and in effect we end up nullifying the very grace of God from operating and producing the life of Christ in and through us like it should.
We live by His grace through faith alone in all that He has already done and yes - His life in us will manifest in doing good deeds as a fruit of being in Him.

I'm intrigued by what you say here:
two points I think need to be answered.
1. who's 'love' empowers your walk? As in the first part of the above post you say 'you walk because 'I' love'!
2.You say 'I have free will to express this love', what love as you keep saying 'I' and you seem to being saying that it is your love that empowers you!
the conclusion to 'I have free will to express this love' would mean that all men are 'empowered' to walk their own love.
A better understanding of scripture would say:
When God converts a sinner, thereby converting him into the state of grace, He free's him from his natural bondage (original sin/sin nature) under sin (Col 1:13; John 8:34,36).
And by His [God's] grace alone, enables him freely to will and to do that which is spiritually good (Phil 2:13; Rom 6:18,22).
Yet so, as that by reason of his remaining corruption, he does not perfectly, nor only, will that which is good but does also will that which is evil (sin) (Gal 5:17; Rom 7:15,18,19,21,23).
The will of man is made perfectly and immutably free to do good alone, in the state of Glory alone (Eph4:13; Heb 12:23;1 joh 3:12; jude v24). WCF.

also, notice that peter said " I " or my ten times in that short post. focus on self much??? should not our focus be on Christ for salvation and how to live life??
Why did I use the word "I". Because it is easy to use religious language but it is not
personal. The love of our hearts in Christ, is Christs love. And it is Christs love that
empowers me.
But strangely people get very sensitive to how we express this.
So many talk with a closed heart, talk about Christ out there. Then there is
the reality within our hearts. Now if this reality is out there, then people talk
about Christ and not who they are inside.
So my language is one of what we experience not just external things.
If you are talking about the heart, ofcourse things refer back to oneself.
Now if one is truly scared of ones heart, then talking about the reality
within is just foreign language.

The love of Christ working in our hearts, not of us
2Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.But strangely people get very sensitive to how we express this.

Yes the reality they are sinful as in who could know a persons own heart .One day excuses the next accuses.God is greater that our hearts .He knows the hidden intents, and can move a person by giving them a desire to do His will, drawing them closer.
I would think we talk about Christ working in us ,not of us.
We do not measure His love according to the heart of natural man. A man must be born again from .If any man has not the Spirit of Christ they do not belong to Him who alone suffered the second death in our stead.
We walk by faith, Christ's, as the same spirit of faith according as it is written the unseen, not by sight after some experience as a work we are a part of.
Things of God refer back to the author and finisher of our faith, the gift of God, not of one’s own self (heart) it is beyond repair .
AMEN...the just shall live by faith.....without faith it is impossible to please God.....notice....I strangely do not see the word works tied in with that....yes indeed a saved person will have fruit after a period of growth and maturity....but it is faith and faith alone that saved that person....FAITH into JESUS and what he has done.........
How good are people at talking about who and what Jesus meant, so talking about
reality within is definitely off the table.
It is strange how people have no idea what is in their hearts yet claim to follow
the King who is about a clean and pure heart.
And if I talk about what Christ has done for me, it is wrong because I am talking
about me, the object of His love and who as every believer finds what love truly is.
It is strange that those who do not know where their heart is are so quick to
condemn those who might talk about the real fruit of the Spirit within.
