The law condemns you, unless there is sacrifice.. So if the law is not over, you better find a high priest.

God was relegated to an inner closet in and tabernacle or temple system. and the ONLY way man could be in his presence was that he had to be one man. Had to be a high priest. And he had to do these very set rules and ceremonies to make himself clean. And if he did not do everyone 100 % perfect. he was killed the moment he entered. They had to tie a rope to them, in case the body died, so it would not make the inner room unclean..

yet the workers who say the cross is nto enough. WHAT?? they need to study the law.. and realize what it represented..

How can I, a person, who is not a priest Enter the presence of God. when the righteous men of the OT could not..

The penalty of sin is removed, the barrier between God and man, the veil which seperates us, is removed.

and he has made us to be priests and kings.....The reason we can enter and not die is because we have the righteousness of the very Son of GOD and HIGH PRIEST applied unto us by faith....it is so clear....even my handicapped son understands.....!

I think there is a reason jesus said little children have an easier time seeing him. As adults our minds are polluted and corrupted.. it is harder to see
 
We are saved by faith alone at our original salvation experience, however we have to follow Christ in order to maintain our relationship with God and God does require us to do some things and not to do other things. So there IS some sort of work involved. We all know of folks who were "saved", water baptized, and a month later they never went back into church or followed God for the rest of their life, are they still saved? If they are not, then some kind of work is involved in keeping one's salvation.

One thing I find ironic....the workers for will yell that Paul is speaking of the works of the law when he speaks of being justified by faith without works...they also yell that Galatians is speaking of the works of the law...........

Funny thing....why would one think for a second that if the works of the law cannot save or justify....how in the world could the mere works of men save or justify.......

yep. true. I heard a pastor say one time that pride is one of the worst sins, because most people that have it don't know they have it.

pleased to hear it but no but yeah but i i i me me me, start a new thread and call it im saved your not as that seems to be general mentality of people who argue works is worhtless,, plus i really dont see what works have to do with the law ?

Not necessarily......John said...They went out from us because they NEVER were of us.....and even then...many believers have had hard experiences that they blame on God which resulted in them giving up...this does not necessarily mean they are lost because the bible also states that IF WE BELIEVE NOT he abideth faithful because he cannot deny himself.....so.....your hard fast rule is not necessarily correct......

The things of God are foolishness. to those who are not his.

so I guess the wisdom of man must be real wisdom to those who are not his..

I have no other way to explain it.

This jumps to a faulty conclusion and is also just a mouthy response......neither he nor I have said works are worthless and we have said that they have their place within believers....just not to obtain, gain, keep or facilitate salvation....that is based upon faith and the finished work of JESUS

True.. It is also the most spoken of sin in the word of God..

I can break the commands, and still come to God and repent. because I know I have sinned. and hurt myself and others (I see the pain)

Unless I break my pride, I will never come to God. and repent..

and all sin is rooted on the sin of pride..

I think that is the difference..

Im the finished article and i have perfected my faith where as you have a lot to learn is your mentality.christ give me strenght to endure this deluded hipocrit now thats mouth next

Exactly their minds are pure and Jesus said the pure in heart can see God...and I always tuck my son in and quote scripture to him and teach him what it says and he loves church and Jesus and veggie tales haha

You know I do sometime and you bet...I will always take the finished work of Christ on my behalf.....and the word is HYPOCRITE!
