A woman who is in it for love doesn't care if you are a multi-millionaire or if you owe a million.

Actually, women like that would probably stay away from multi-millionaires... So, your chances are looking better as the thread continues.

Its hard not to over think it. But you dont want to come on too strong and push her away. You're putting a lot of pressure on yourself by asking her out on Valentines. Id try to work up the nerve to go out before then. Then see how she feels about going further. Just relax and have fun. Keep it low key. Work on your financial issues and if you hit it off you can talk to her about it a little later down the road. Thats a little heavy for a first date.

But aren't women looking for Men that can be a provider? Not saying I have to have a bank load of money but do have to have the ability to be a provider. I just really want to be ready in that area too which I am working on..

Great question.

If I met a Godly man, we have Christ at the centre of the relationship, and real love, nothing else matters. God takes care of my every need and I won't let money get in the way of love. Its a non-factor.

But I'm sure lots of people would disagree with me... I can only speak what's right for me.

When I met my hubby the company he worked for moved out of state. He got a job and again he lost it,not of his doing. He spent a full year going to job interviews and calling people. He was so discouraged, probably a little like you're feeling. He kept asking me to stick with him. And I did. I knew he was sincere and he wasn't lazy,it was the economy. We ate a lot of fast food and had walks in every park in a 10 mile radius.lol We found a way. Like I said,its who you're with,not where you are or how much money you spend.

Now we're married and own a home of our own. He has a good job and we really are blessed. I trusted him and knew he was a good person,sincere and a hard worker. My instincts were right. If she is mature at all she will see the same thing in you.

Maybe I should date you LOL!! But seriously that's the way it should be but seems people are missing it during this day and age including other Christians..

That is what I am praying on. It really shouldn't matter about money but people nowadays make it that way including other Christians..

No it shouldn't. And you dont want that type of high maintenance woman anyway. Thats for young foolish people.The older you get the more you look at the heart and less at the wallet.

Wanting to know a man can make wise decision is all I'm concerned about.. don't want to drop money in a drain just as long as I can have a man.. sensibility is a must.. amount? Who cares as long as he doesn't waste it

Thank you, God has blessed me beyond what I could imagine. He put the right man in the right place at the right time. And he did it just when I gave up and decided I was going to be alone the rest of my life. Hes an on time God.

Haha... Well, Christians seem to always say they are up for living a simple Christ-centered life, but its only after you get to know someone and see how it plays out in their lives that you can be sure. Take your time! We are all on this journey together.

So... Make sure you keep focused on God and ask Him to direct your steps. Don't worry about circumstances and just be YOU.

Think about starting a beautiful friendship. Everyone wants to marry their best friend.

Yes you are right and I that is what I am ultimately looking for. It is just so hard to find a good Christian woman that is available these days. A little harder in my age range now but I am still holding out as I don't want to settle...

Well, don't let age or time make you anxious. Trust God. He knows what He is doing. He will make it happen when it should and it will not pass you by if its in His will.

Besides, you have met someone you are interested in! That's the first step. Its exciting to get to know people... That's a blessing in itself.
 
I would suggest, as others have, to just relax a bit. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. When you do ask her out, mention some things you like about her, such as "I like the way you're so patient with the youth group kids, and how kind you are to newcomers." Let her know that something real has caught your attention.

The Valentine's Day thing... That's a tough call. Some women would think it was sweet, some would probably think it was a bit much if they didn't quite have the same feelings for the guy. If you're really hesitant to ask her out directly, you could maybe get a lighthearted Valentine's Day card and give it to her. Her reaction to the card might give you a hint about her feelings and you could ask her out if she seems happy or interested.

The money thing... as long as the money problem isn't evidence of something greater (I'm talking gambling debt, etc) then it really shouldn't be a problem, IMO. Some of my favorite people in the entire world are flat broke. Besides, it will be a while before you have to worry about being a provider for this lady, even if you two do hit it off. You have time to get back on your feet, and hopefully she will be more concerned about your heart. If she's looking at your wallet first, you probably don't want a relationship with her after all.

The truth is that they already know in their own mind if they would say yes or no.

Worrying about the outcome is just that... worry. Ask and ye shall receive! (her answer) :rolleyes:

I didnt date until my late 30s. I was in my early 40s before I married.My husband is five years older than I am. Dont worry,there are people out there looking at all ages.
