great example there are many passages in the bible where he tells us to do good works. It is sad that some are distorting his holy world and basically saying we can live and do whatever we want as long as you believe.

These have been warned by him in his holy word

As God’s fellow workers, we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain

and many are receiving his grace in vain. Only to have him take away the gift that was given to him because they had no fruit.
Now you are just distorting the facts...I never said anything of the such.......You sound like a banned ex member.....the bolded above is false....and if you say something that is false and misleading that makes you a ----! By your own gospel of works, you just lost your salvation.......

(Rom 8)

33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?.
1 John 4:1 Testing the Spirits
1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,…
(Rom 8) [It is] God who justifies..
God sanctions such actions so why would he not justifie it.

(Rom 8) 34 Who [is] he who condemns? [It is] Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Living in the Spirit
1Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death.…

(Rom 8)
(He 12)

2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of [our] faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
yes always best to look to Jesus.

WHO are they? WHAT group fits their claim?
Jesus answers this question himself

And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
Matt 7:23

The sermon on the mount is about following Christ with ones whole heart, in truth
and not just show.

Lawlessness is about ignoring righteousness and love, walking with a closed heart
to others and to God.

This has always been Christs message, being truthful about what is within, being cleansed
and walking openly with Him. People of many theological backgrounds both do this and do
not do this, so it is a challenge to us all to be honest, listen and obey.

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

3 and every spirit that does not confess 1 that Jesus 2 Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the [spirit] of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak [as] of the world, and the world hears them.

6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Yep....workers of lawlessness that attempted entrance into God's kingdom dia another door than JESUS.....that door being their boast in their works instead of Christ and his work!

2 paths, narrow, broad. If one chooses narrow he needs to work at keeping it narrow. If another chooses broad path, he will be working works of broad path. Its not automatic, like every thing works for itself, and we sit back in lazy-boy and do nothing, work is always involved, even if sitting in recliner. Working at being lazy, or working at relaxing, or. Jesus taught us to walk narrow path. Broad path is an ungodly path of destruction. Narrow is the way of few, the way of wisdom.

I hate to have to correct the scriptures you quoted but whatever version you used, it is not accurate. First, if you go according to 95% of all manuscripts, Romans 8:1 adds "who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit." That is very important, for without it, one would think they can do anything without condemnation, simply because they are a child of God.
And the other verse you use should read, "IS come in the flesh...", not, "has come..." It is present tense, not the past.

come:
erchomai
er'-khom-ahee
Middle voice of a primary verb (used only in the present and imperfect tenses, the others being supplied by a kindred [middle voice] word, ἐλεύθομαι eleuthomai or ἔλθω elthō; which do not otherwise occur);

The reason why I say that it is now, is because if we do not eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood, we have no life in us. How can one have what is not here? How can one eat what once was, but now is not? No, the flesh of Jesus is here now, as is His blood.

The minority teaches grace dia faith....sorry....faith plus works to gain, keep or facilitate salvation is a false gospel of a different kind with no power to save.....one that is double cursed......Galatians 1, 3

‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
Matt 7:22

What is the argument? Our authority is based on spiritual power not our hearts and
obedience to the Lord. The Lord is calling this wrong. Obedience matters more than
a show of miracles.

Now this could be true for anyone. Jesus is warning people authority in Christ is based
on who you are and who you follow. Spiritual gifts are there to encourage and help
this grow in the body of Christ, but it does not prove people know Christ.

The fact the very movement that seems familiar to these claims and downplays
righteous behaviour, are simply ignoring the words and their meaning, suggests these
words are judgements against them, and a promise to Gods people to listen and learn.

Notice that in Matt 7:19-33.... "Lord, Lord..."

Jesus said:

"I never knew you "...these people were not believers...

( Jesus never said " I used to know you once."..He said I NEVER knew you at all...).

Everyone when they see Jesus will call Him Lord because He is Lord.

Jesus said that He "knows" His sheep so those in Matt. 7:19-33 are not true Christians.

John 10:14 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Jesus did the "will of God"...and delivered us from this present evil world

Galatians 1:4 (KJV) [SUP]4 [/SUP] Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

It is God in us that gives us the will and the ability to do His will.

Philippians 2:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

The Will of the Father is to believe on Jesus.

1 John 3:23-24 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

[SUP]24 [/SUP] The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

The good works we do are from "being in Christ"..being lead by the Holy Spirit. Notice God has prepared them for us. We walk them out as we life our lives dependent on Him. It is His fruit that bears in and through us.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

[SUP]9 [/SUP] not as a result of works, so that no one may boast
.

[SUP]10 [/SUP] For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Amazing how many think these people lost salvation....without realizing that they were never saved, yet BELIEVED they were doing many wonderful works in his name....the word man means PLENTEOUS in NUMBER and indicates a great number will claim their right to heaven/God's kingdom and their belief is based upon their trust into a WORKING FOR salvation.....Jesus never knew them because they attempted a different door than which has been given which is FAITH in JESUS without an attempt to embellish with works.....!

Amen....that's why Paul said "to examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith".

2 Corinthians 13:5 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?

KJV translates the phrase "fail the test" as "except ye be reprobates".

There are only sheep and goats. Sheep do not turn into goats and there are no combination animals called "shoats".

I have a simple problem. Who are we to say who are false teachers and who is truly following the
Lord? Those who love Jesus from the Heart and obey His commands.

You will hear many voices, many who change the meaning of Jesus's words because it condemns
them. Purify your heart in Christs love and the cross, and then let the words dwell in your soul.

Nothing in Christ is complex or hidden, it is our souls and sin that make it so, to justify ourselves.
Jesus is our Lord, so listen to Him. There is no fear in the cross only redemption and forgiveness
so learn to dwell here.

There is two faiths being expressed here.

One that follows Gods word and one that believes they have arrived, and repentance and confession
are no longer necessary, they are perfect, they just have to realise it.

Everything is reinterpreted and the meaning of words changed so it appears to be the same words
but it now means something different to them than to us.

Core to the belief is a denial of purification of the soul, of working to build oneself up in righteous
behaviour, of training, of perseverance, of character, of patience, of trials, of suffering and realising
the truth of love is it exists despite evil, and not because of it.

And they do not understand love, an open heart, of emotions not in chaos but responding appropriately
in a persons life, to the glory of the King.

And this is reflected by their words and theology, which support and emphasise holiness in sin,
acceptance though defeated and enslaved to sinful behaviour and destructive behaviour patterns.

One that follows Gods word and one that believes they have arrived, and repentance and confession

Scriptures informs of “one faith, the “faith of God”. Man who is dead in their trespass and sin are simply referred to having “no faith”.

One must be born of the faith of Christ, the faith of God . This does not mean we follow our own heart as a source of faith.

There must be a transaction (miracle of rebirth) that removes us from death, eternal damnation never to rise again to eternal life.

In Mathew 7 Christ does not deny that this man performed "wonderful works" .We do not know Christ by what we do, we know him by what he has finished. There is nothing we can do to attribute our salvation. A new heart must first be created even if the person is capable of doing wonderful works. God can move an unbeliever(no faith of Christ) to perform wonderful works just as moving one who has been given the faith of Christ, by which they then can believe God. He is simply not served by human hands or heart .

ok sorry for intruding, and thanks for clearing that up.
