I don't personally know anybody who has gotten a mail order bride, so I'll just make observations that this thread reminds me of.

I'm reminded of the lady... er, I'm reminded of the woman who put her house up for sale on ebay, and the winning bidder also gets her as wife. No I'm not making this up. I wish I were.

I'm also reminded of all the advertisements I've seen online for mail order brides from Russia. Am I seeing these ads because I'm frequenting Linux sites? What are we saying about Linux users? Nerds are so desperate for affection they will be far more susceptible to this stuff?

(I can tell you right now, even if we nerds did care about that kind of junk, we wouldn't be able to pay for it. We use Linux, a WHOLE FREEWARE COMPUTER SYSTEM. Like, free, no money. Yeah we like the freedom to use it however we want, install it on a flash drive, modify any program we want to, but that's not the only reason we gravitated to Linux.) :p

I also wonder what is so bad about Russia, that all these women are trying to bail out of it. I've never been there but I've heard nice things about it from Erma Bombeck.

So much agreement here! Kudos to you good sir. Too many of the dudes your age playing over here in my ballpark. Tis weird indeed. Well I know she ain't black, but you ever consider dating this Seoulsearch lady? She is in her 40s and is still lookin' good. Christian too. What's not to like?

Heh the internet trying to get you to heat up the Cold War. Though dang you get a house and wife, that sounds like a deal to me. I could see you pairing well with a Russian gal, they do like fur I hear.

Lol very gracious of you good sir! Well who are the good women around here? That Rachel20 girl seemed nice and pretty, she was giving me likes and supporting me while the Maxwell Pharisee was slandering me. Is she good bae material?

Also no worries, of course it will be good Christian fun. My momma was a strong American woman, no playing with girls hearts and pants, gotta save yourself for marriage, but you can still look around. I respect my momma enough to still follow her rules though I guess technically don't have to.

Lol thanks for the compliment but don't respect me, respect no man says the Bible. It's somewhat true, the society is against young man, but hey forget the crooked society, I don't let them bring me down at all.

Really you hint at a lot of the society's problems right here. Some people just did not have good parents. Sad fact, but it's true. That's why they both hate and yearn for an alpha male big brother like me lol.

To me it means she depends on me to lead. It means she's following G-d's given roles. It means she loves G-d and treats her husband in ways that unfortunately some other women won't.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter where she is from, but if she doesn't understand that I'm head of the household (which is one of various important things). That's a red flag and it's not smart to marry her.

And that's another thing... why do we never see advertisements for mail order husbands? It's always the women who are being shipped off to some other country because a man paid for them. No women want a husband from Russia?

Something I've usually found to be true:


Anyone who needs to keep repeating he's an alpha male... usually isn't.


It's usually overcompensating for a sense of insecurity.
