Yes, this site suffers from popularity contests. All sites do. Any gathering of people does. It seems to be human nature. People want to be liked, and they compete for the affections and adoration of others. They also get nasty and vindictive when someone they don't like is well liked or thought of more highly than themselves.

<sarcasm>I really enjoy the passive-aggressive "I'm a better Christian than thou art" game that goes on here 29/8/457</sarcasm>
 
Yaweh_is_gracious you forgot an important word there. "Some." Actually it's more like "a few." If you use "a few" in what you said I could agree with it.

Socreta, what Yaweh_is_gracious said about prevalence is basically correct. Everywhere you go there will be a few people like that. Unfortunately there seems to be no way to change this. Fortunately it rarely matters much so I usually ignore it.

I could have been more specific to make sure and guard the feelings of the snowflakes - I mean, how would I live with myself if I knew something I said made someone run for their blankie to hide in their safe space? LOL. No, I made my point in precisely the way I intended. People here that read it should have enough self-awareness to know if what I said is directed at them or not.

Uhh...don't get your hopes up. You should be glad you have them housebroken. At least they don't piddle on the floor or scoot their butts on the carpet.
 
I'm reminded of my aunt and uncle. They both like to hunt. My aunt got a sign and hung it over the toilet.
