Perhaps that was a bit out of line? There are more supporters of the scriptural pre tribulation harpadzo than just Popeye, and it doesn't help to make jabs at people who are not here to reply back or defend themselves.
It wasnt a jab but a jest. Popeye is far from thin skinned and has given me some rough times in the past I am suprised that he isnt on line considering the number of threads relating to Prophecy that have been posted recently. I sincerely hope he is OK. I have no aminosity towards him or anyone else on site.

A pre-trib rapture is in direct opposition to the rapture that Jesus gave to the apostles to give to the church. Why do so many Christians believe in a pre-trib rapture that is not in the New Testament and is the opposite of what Jesus taught? The bible tells us that those who reject the truth will come under a deception so that they will believe a lie. When a person reads Matt 24 and Mark 13 and they make a willful decision not to believe what it is saying(post-trib rapture of the church) then that person has placed their self in a position to be deceived so that a non existent pre-trib rapture seems plausible.

Hello SAmuel23,

Please enlighten us by providing the scriptures where Jesus teaches a post-tribulation gathering of the church. Thanks!

Sure. Matt 24:29-40 immediately after the tribulation of those days...the powers of heaven shall be shaken and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of Heaven and He shall send His angels with the sound of a great trumpet and they shall gather His elect from one end of heaven to the other.. two shall be in the field, one shall be taken and the other left. This is a clear and literal description of the rapture of the church as described by Jesus Himself and it is after the tribulation not before. This was taught to the church from day one...way before the Thess letters written by Paul. So did Paul teach a different rapture then what the church had already been given by Jesus...don't think so.

How do you explain the early church fathers that taught pre-trib from the 1st century A.D. ??

I REALIZE THAT CALLING THE CHURCH "THE BRIDE' IS COMMMONLY ACCEPTED, YET I CAN'T FIND A SINGLE VERSE OF SCRIPTURE TO BACK THAT UP...IN FACT THE BBIBLE SAYS THAT NEW JERUSALEM IS THE WIFE/BRIDE OF CHRIST...

Revelation 21:9-10 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and "he talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife."
[SUP]10 [/SUP] And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and "he shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,"

HOWEVER, IN MY OPINION, YOU ARE CORRECT THAT THERE IS A PRE-TRIB RAPTURE SCRIPTURALLY SPEAKING...

YOUR THOUGHTS?

WHEN ARE YOU GONNA STOP SIMPLY DENYING THE PRE-TRIB AND GIVE SOME ACTUAL EVIDENCE OF WHAT YOU BELIEVE BEING TRUE??

I'VE GIVEN YOU EVERYTHING FROM SCRIPTURE TO ACTUAL QUOTES DATING BACK TO THE 1ST CENTURY A.D., YOU'VE GIVEN US A FAULTY INTERPRETATION OF MATTHEW 24 AND A BUNCH OF MAN MADE EXCUSES FOR YOUR FALSE BELIEF, AND LIES ABOUT THE DOCTRINES ORIGIN...SIMPLY IGNORING THE EVIDENCE PRESENTED TO YOU DOESN'T MAKE IT WRONG, FRIEND...

Proverbs 29:1 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

ONCE AGAIN, JESUS WAS TALKING TO, AND ABOUT JEWS, NOT THE CHURCH...READ THIS PASSAGE IN IT'S PROPER CONTEXT INSTEAD OF PARROTING WHAT OTHER DENIERS CLAIM...

AND THERE IS ONLY ONE RAPTURE, AND IT'S PRE-TRIB, AND FOR CHRISTIANS ONLY, NOT JEWS (UNLESS THEY ARE MESSIANIC JEWS)....
AND THERE'S AT LEAST A CHANCE THAT DENIERS WON'T BE GOING IN IT, SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO RETHINK YOUR POSITION OR IF I'M RIGHT (AND THE BIBLE IS RIGHT) ABOUT PRE-TRIB, YOU HAVE A POSSIBILITY THAT YOU WON'T BE TAKEN BECAUSE OF YOUR DENIAL OF IT BEING PRE-TRIB...JUST SAYIN'...

YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS RIGHT ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE...DENYING A PRE-TRIB RAPTURE IS SATAN'S WORK AND AGAINST WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES...HOLD FIRM THAT NO MAN STEALS YOUR CROWN, BROTHER...THE DENIAL IS A PART OF THE LAST DAYS GREAT DECEPTION, AND MULTITUDES ARE FALLING FOR IT...

WE ARE TOLD WE WILL ESCAPE THE WRATH OF GOD, WHICH IS WHAT THE TRIBULATION IS....

Hello Frankmoon1934,

The following is Paul speaking to the Corinthians:

"I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.

Below, Paul uses an example of wives and husbands in relation to Christ as the churches husband:

"For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything."

"Hallelujah!
For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.”

In scripture above, the bride is given fine linen, bright and clean to wear. Now, notice what the armies riding on white horses are wearing as they follow Christ out of heaven:

"He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

Who are those who are riding on white horses dressed in fine linen, white and clean following Christ out of heaven?

"They (the beast and the ten kings) will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Conclusion: The church which will have been caught up to the Father's house, symbolically referred to as "the bride" will receive here robes of righteousness (fine linen, white and clean) and are seen following Christ out of heaven to end the age and are wearing that fine linen, white and clean, which are His called, chosen and faithful followers, the church.

Note: The new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven as a bride beautifully adorned, I believe is in reference to those who will be dwelling in the New Jerusalem.

Do you not understand the scriptures you mentioned are for Israel?
