There are things about tongues that we will debate interpretations of until we are called to be with Him. But one thing I do know for sure, that God said clear as a bell, in 1 Corinthians 14:39.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

Who said anything about righteousness Roger? I said its impossible to pray all the time in the spirit without the gift. That's the only point I was making.
God deals in righteousness. You claim a gift that scripture says has ended. You claim a gift that is not defined in the scripture. Tongues are not ecstatic utterances nor are they languages that are unknowable. Such things are new age mysticism and not biblical. They are produced by the will of man and not the Holy Spirit of God.

You have no idea of how Spiritual others are or how Spiritual their prayer life is.

I did not make any statements about the spirituality of anyone. Where is this coming from?

My statement. Its impossible to pray all the time in Spirit without our prayer language.

The gifts have nothing to do with how spiritual one is or isn't. I judge no one because its not my job. However, I do judge what is written, is it truth according to scripture. And I am not always right about things.

I'm just trying to get some here to think...what does the Word really say. Not our opinions...but the Word.

How do you know you are in Spirit?
I know because the Holy Spirit lives within me. I know because the Holy Spirit touches my heart and lets me know that God hears me and know my needs. I know because God answers my prayers.

You may need it.
I have the Holy Spirit living with my spirit. I don't need anything else.
Do you have the Holy Spirit living within you?

I'm sure from what you've said that you are born again Persuaded. But, God has more...and the gifts aren't the all in all either.

Wouldn't you want all that God has for us?

I'm not being critical of anyone here. My words are being twisted for some reason. These are wonderful gifts that God has given to the body of His Son, Jesus.

It might seem to be spooky before we ever experience this but it really isn't. Its supernatural yes, but God is supernatural. Hes Spirit, not flesh, and we are receiving more of Him.

I have it all. I have the presence of God, the Holy Spirit with me 24/7. He never leaves me. He does not come and go.
God knows my needs so it is not necessary for me to say a single word when I pray. I just fall on my knees and He is there saying "I know, I am here". That brings complete peace to my heart.
In the end, I just say thank you Lord.
Do you need more? Why?

I haven't experienced the high calling of God in Christ Jesus Persuaded. Yet.

No one has or they would be translated like Enoch. It is coming.

Here is what I see.
You are looking for, expecting something from God.
What I have from God is eternal life, His love, His forgiveness, His ever present Spirit. All that God gives.
Because I have this I spent my time trying to do His will.
Its is not about me getting more, it is about me doing more for Him, giving more of myself to Him.
You are the one who is missing a blessing because you are expecting more from God.

Thank you for your evaluation. But, this thread is about the prayer language so I was trying to stay on topic. We all stand before the Lord for our rewards Persuaded, and its only His opinion that anyone of us need to know.

Just read the book of Acts carefully.

I have studied Acts many times and have taught through Acts 3 times during the last 20 years. I know what it teaches, and I know the confusion and misunderstanding that many have.
Its not about rewards. Its about serving. Its about loving God. It about loving and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus.
Its about giving with no expectation of receiving.
That is where I am.
It hast taken some time, but thank God that is where I am today.
Peace and joy in Jesus.
