Well in the spirit of the season I have to share. I was scared by a event some years ago which forces my wife to go shopping , or roll her eyes as I relive this event every time the holiday season comes around.

True story. My wife is a professional medical person and I being a blue collar tradesmen were invited to a Christmas party some yrs back. I had to do the tie and coat thing out of respect and proceeded to try and mingle with the doctors and professors and such. Expecting a ho-hum party as I felt out of my element, I noticed two senior ladies laughing and talking and being very pro active guarding the punch bowl. Then it happened. The classic, swear it's true.
The holiday tunes were replaced with the band now starting the jingle bell rock song got these two into dancing and spinning one another trying to provoke others to join in. As others watched and slowly started to move these two decided to really "cut a rug". Then it happens, loosing there grip the shortest one hit the tree like a wrecking ball knocking it over and the star ended up in the punch bowl shorting out the now downed lights.
With her sparkling dress half ballooned over her waist she lay on the floor with the tree now crumbled by her side. Her partner affirming she was ok started laughing trying to pick her up. Both of them standing regaining composure proceeded to the table to do a much needed sit down. My wife looked at me but it was too late. The potter was gone beyond control. Laughing so hard we had to leave as I could not regain control.
Every year since (I think it's to be 18) I have this vision of this event dance in my head. I marked this as the best Christmas party ever. I bust out laughing every time I think about this. Just thought I'd share.

P.s. my wife is out shopping....guess what I was thinking.

When people tell me, "why do you still watch wrestling, that stuff is fake". I respond by saying, okay lets go watch some real stuff like The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones

Since your post I have mentioned to Linda Kay that you and many are holing her up in prayer. She hasd replied with a heartfelt thank you saying God is taking care of her, and she is well........Her newest pain med is "doing wonder thank God," and this is a mixed bit of good new.

All who pray, you are doing God's work, so keep availing yourselves to Him. I know you do. I love you for your works in Jesus Christ.....amen.

we love you, too. :)

hope LK is hanging in there? prayers continued. ♥

Sorry I have not been on this thread in such a long time.

I posted in the prayer forum, but I thought I would include the prayer request here.

My sister got attacked by 2 large German Shepherds today while she was walking her dog. They tried to kill her dog, and she defended him. There was no one around, and they attacked her for over 10 minutes. She has large bites, but worse, they tore her right wrist up, and she has to see a plastic surgeon, the damage is so bad. Plus, terrible flashbacks, as you might imagine.

Please pray for this to heal, and for her salvation. I have been praying for her for 36 years now, much longer than my parents. If this terrible thing had to happen, at least let it help her find Jesus! She believes in "a god" but that is not good enough. She has told me point blank she doesn't believe in Jesus, that he didn't even exist, despite archeological evidence to the contrary.

Also pray that God would direct me as to whether I should fly across the country to be with her and help her. I am doing much better, RA meds are finally working, and even the pulled ham string on my left side has improved. So praise God for that! But I am loath to take care of someone again, after just going to Edmonton to care for my mom, then Calgary to care for the grandkids. My health is better, but not that better!
