Well, good Sir, I'm painting dining room chairs. My life is super busy and the only time I can accomplish things is when I should be sleeping, if you must know.
Also, I'm a night owl.
Ah ok. I'm usually in bed by 10 so this is a rare occasion for me.

Welcome to CC alive in messiah. May we direct your attention to the very active Bible discussion forum? You sound like you'd fit right in there.
Short answer: Nope I disagree.
We cannot both love as God loved and be detached and emotionless. There're times we all want to just shut down our emotions because we're experiencing painful ones, but that's not actually a Godly or Biblical response. And in God's economy people matter so family and friends matter and how we conduct ourselves in our jobs and our lives because all of it will impact other people, that matters too. Also I think sometimes we as Christians get too hung up on God's plan and being useful to God. God does have plans, but most of his will is summed up in us loving him and loving people. Doing specific things to be of use to God (and for many of us trying to find our value in how good of a Christian we are and how obedient we are) gives us a horribly harsh and utilitarian, instead of loving view of God.
Having said all that welcome to CC, it's ok to have down and hurting days or seasons and it sounds like you're in one so I hope our little community here can be an encouragement and support to you. I'm quite certain that God doesn't see you as worthless.

I figure the only thing you can take with you is the people you helped along the way. Everything else will be meaningless in time. If you're a jerk and run over everyone in your way, at the end of life you might die with more stuff. If you work with those around you to try to make everyone's life smoother you will end life with more friends.
Ok this made me laugh out loud...
And just as I recovered from my laughter I read this. Haha.

It sounds like it will be very chic once you get finished with it. I wasn't around for the initial conversation, but would like to see your pictures.Hi there Galatea.
They are going to be dark gray...mostly. There is a curvy X in the back of the chairs and I'm painting some of those black and some red. I have a black table and red cabinet in the dining room. So, a while back I was trying to decide what color and ZeroT was SO kind and nice and photoshopped the different colors for me so I could decide. He's so nice!

As great as Bill Murray was, I think Richard Dreyfuss was just as good in that movie. His longsuffering was priceless! I think that slow burn kind of humor must be hard to portray because his rage has to increase gradually.
