The Redskins have their hands full with the Cowboys!
goeie more alles van die beste....
I used to work with some South African doctors in Canada and they taught me some Afrikaans.
LOL, I would love to hear your version of "goeie". The guttural G can be difficult if you are not use to it
At least they taught you some decent Afrikaans and not some swear words![]()
My wife have some doctor friends in Canada... she worked with them here in SA

They said that I did have the guttural "G" down pretty good. It is definitely a foreign sound to english speaking people.
Most did try to teach me good speech but one guy had some kind of a slur on the president's name that I found out wasn't good. My spirit told me not to be saying that one...
I also used to have fun with the Afrikaans words that sounded like " Buy a duck"....
A lot of the SA docs went out west in Canada - Saskatchewan and Alberta. I worked in Alberta.
bada nothing![]()
I think they still are in Saskatchewan...... I THINK
Afrikaans is beautiful but difficult
Don't say anything in Afrikaans that sounds like "buy a duck"... it can't end well![]()
Woohoo!! They work.. I am the gif princess.. lol
I see passing-through got banned for his snide post on the smileys thread.![]()
There was a thread called "smileys"...lol
I liked Afrikaans - it was fun learning it what little I did learn.
I found the SA doctors fun and respectful of others. We often talked about the many ways to get back to SA. It was a long trip with many stop-overs but we found a new flight that meant no staying over in London or Germany and they would end up in Joburg sooner than ever all in one day.
Durban was my favorite place that they talked about. What part are you in?
I see it, and it works.. don't argue with me.. lol
