Earlier this year I was open to the remote possibility that there might be some evidence for a flat earth myself.
Sounds like you started in the right direction. What happened? Are you not interested enough in knowing the real truth about the world you live in? Did you somehow manage to prove to yourself that the world was a spinning globe - without the help of NASA et al.; but rather, with your own eyes and mind - with real science that you yourself can perform, instead of just taking the word of NASA et al. for it?
If God truly actually made the Earth to be flat and stationary - and, not a spinning ball hurtling through a massive expanse of empty space --- wouldn't you want to know it? Wouldn't you want to know the truth?
If so -- then, why not give yourself ample opportunity to discover it?
But after pondering it and posting on it for the last six months I doubt I can be convinced of a flat earth at all.

You see -- this is the same kind of thing as being a witness for Christ. Someone says "believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God" --- and all the hate comes out -
incited by Satan. Why? Because, Satan does not like for the truth to be stated / told. Well, if I say "Satan has beguiled the whole world" --- what is the problem? Do you not understand well enough the character of Satan? ( Or, "lack of it" - if you want to look at it that way... ) Are you incapable of believing

just might be able to pull off such a large-scale deception? Do you believe and trust in what God says? You may say
"I only believe and trust in God!"; well, does that mean that you
do not believe or trust in NASA et al. without actually proving to yourself [ first ] that what they say is true? Do you really actually believe that the Bible encourages / instructs us to "be like the Berean" ( Acts 17:11 ) to "prove" the scriptures [ to / for ourselves ] --
yet not do similarly with other things?????
Should we just take Satan's word for it?

Are you so willing to [ blindly ] believe and trust in an organization that - with
so much opportunity - has not managed to produce even a single
authentic unadulterated [ actual ] photograph of the Earth? ( high enough to provide actual proof of its claims ) --- that - has not ever produced video footage [ in space ] where a person did a 180-degree pan / sweep with the camera? ( unadulterated - uncut - unedited )
Why is it that we so easily went to the moon fifty years ago -- but now, NASA says we cannot escape lower-earth-orbit without risking damage from van-allen belt radiation?
Don't you understand? We have never actually gone high enough above the surface of the Earth to even take a picture which would actually be able to contain an entire 'globe' in the image. ( i.e. - the half you would be able to see ) Everything we have is not that high above ground. All the pictures you have seen "from space" with the "Earth curvature" in the background are not that high up and do not cover that much ground-level surface area in them. And, the "curvature" [ usually ] comes from the fact that a fisheye lens was used in making the picture.
Forget science for a moment. You don't need scientific knowledge. You only need good common sense.
The stuff NASA "puts out" just simply does not "add up"...
Don't be afraid to examine closely anything NASA publishes to see if it actually appears correct according to what should be expected based on good common sense.
The 'mantra' of modern science today is:
"You should not dare to think for yourself, only accept what we teach you."

What would you say to a person who has decided that the daily walk of a "so-so Christian" is okay but that of a Christian with a firm devout faith is not acceptable?
Why does someone who is a 'more devout skeptic' deserve "different treatment" than someone who is only a 'light skeptic'?????

exactly what people - who accept the "spinning ball" tale that NASA tells - are doing -- believing a false view of reality - and refusing to even consider that they could possibly have been lied to all their life and taught things that were not true.

Does it not mock God even more to say that the Earth is a spinning ball ( and all the NASA spoon-fed CRAP that goes with it ) - if it is flat and stationary - like the Bible indicates that it is?
