nope
nopier
and nopiest
what is malicious is your accusations that those who speak in tongues have a demon
the tongues of the Bible are the tongues given by the Holy Spirit
now the Holy Spirit is still on the earth...you can tell that because the earth has not blown up yet...only in place where the devil rules, like ISIS and so on
the Apostles and other folk living about 2000 years ago have passed away Roger...
now let me put these two things together for you
the SAME Holy Spirit that indwelled the believers 2000 years ago is the SAME Holy Spirit who indwells believers today
so technically speaking? the people have changed, but the Spirit of God is the same
and really, are you now trying to deny your stance that if I speak in tongues...well actually pray, on my way to go into town or before I go to bed or if I feel impressed something needs attention, I am actually praying to Satan?
that sounds like you either have a loose screw or you hate the power of God
God is in control Roger...not you and not me
I would say not so much that they have a demon but are following after a lie of a lying spirit. Christians can be deceived to believe a lie. Only God will not be deceived according to His truth. He is no longer bringing any new revelations as an interpretation in another language. What we had in part up until the last chapter ,Revelation,we now have the whole or perfect .
The idea that tongues (the interpretation from God from one language to another) in an onward conversation between two, God through the prophet Peter who does not speak his own words but does speak the words God put on his lips and the man who has been given an interpretation from God not from Peter in his own language.
I would offer it was not evidence Peter had the Holy Spirit any more than would be be evidence Balaam's donkey which God used to represent a unbeliever, as a unclean animal, that the donkey had the Holy Spirit when God put his words in its mouth .as if God was served by human hands/will to begin with .
It has nothing to do with the speaker used as a prophet, as if tongues was attributed to Peter. It is not a biblical teaching I believe.
There simply is no outward sign as evidence that a person has the Holy Spirit. A changed heart yes. They are spiritul unseen gifts not after the flesh. The Jews sought after signs to show their rebellion to God.
Prophecy is for those who believe. Again God is not longer bringing any new revelations in any manner.
Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation
seeketh after a sign; and there shall
no sign be given to it, but the "sign of the prophet Jonas":
That sign, three days in the heart of the earth was finished before God finished writing any new revelations in His book. today we have the whole/perfect
I would ask do we need more than He has revealed in the bible?
